Is it at all possible that moisture and protien is only gettin to half my head   From the crown to the front my hair is dry and brittle and breaking ...from the crown down my hair is silky, shiny, smooth and just about zero breakage! I don't get it!!

It's possible that you have a couple of different textures going on in your hair (it's not uncommon for black hair), where the one texture (from the crown to the front) damages more easily compared to other part of your hair that's not damaged. OR is it possible you used heat more on the section of your hair that's more damaged? Either way, hang in there, it'll be alright! :) Nursing your hair back to health does take awhile.

You're welcome! :D HHG!

ETA- How on earth did you use an actual iron on your hair without going bald?

:lachen: :lachen: LMAO!! I have no clue but it could be a good reason the crown to the front is only like 2 inches while the rest is a bit past my shoulders:eek:

I have this same problem. The back of my head is coily and very silky. But once you hit the top half...it's a frizzy mess

I hate it, but I deal with it.
