Has anyone else experienced a coarser grade of hair on their crown that seems to relax thin?

I am a 4a/b relaxed head with a crown that feels a little thin:ohwell:. Not sure what to do. I brought some Joico K pak products and plan to put them to good use.

Any suggestions/success stories would be deeply appreciated:yep:!

Do a "thin, brittle crown" search and you'll find several threads about it. I suffer from the same and a lot of other ladies do too. HTH.

I have the same issue. I recently switched hair stylist and she said she feels my old stylist was relaxing the crown too long causing it to thin. I have been using castor oil weekly on this area and it seems to help. I have also stretched my relaxers from 6 weeks to 12 weeks, so don't know which is doing the most good but my crown is fuller and the hair is now growing back in that area.

After doing a search and checking out some of the solutions - I am definitely going to look into another stylist doing my hair. She starts at the crown with my relaxers every 8 weeks.
I will also keep this area moisturized - been doing more protein treatments lately and my crown may not be able to handle such an amount.

Thanks!
