I have been on my HHJ since November 2008. I started off relaxed and then transitioned to natural. I big chopped july 28th of last year and my last relaxer was feb 4th, 2009. my hair has been growing really well and I was so excited to straighten it today and do an official length check....
i started straightening my hair and not only was they breakage left right and center but, my ends were so crunchy and resistant to straightening.
It was about 1 inch of damage. I know 1 inch, is only 2 months of progress, but I just feel so down about the situation.
You spend so much time, and money on trying to help your hair be its healthiest..and this is what I end up with.
I feel like I need to step away from the hair game for a bit. Might just throw in some single braids for awhile and let my stupid hair just be.

There are always set back, but you're new in the game. 2 months of growth in the whole scheme of things isn't a long time. After I learned what I needed to do with my hair I thought I was ready to go, but I also needed to learn what NOT to do to MY hair. Contrary to what my Gma says, what's good for the geese, ain't always good for the gander. Going a year without a trim cost me, too. So, the more you know what not to do with your hair, the sooner your hair will flourish-- and it will flourish. Give it time. HHG!

Not gonna give up anymore. Thanks for your encouragment
