I used to smoke weed..lol.. @ admitting to that.. but n e ways.. i used to and my hair was so disgusting and dry.. lmao.. now that i quit its all purtty.. and moisturized.. i quit 4 mos ago and never looked back.. any other smokers notice changes when they quit or still smoke but manage..

Well, I know someone who smokes ganja all of the time and she has the prettiest long hair. But then again, she takes care of it. I know lots of Rasta's that smoke mucho ganja and they have long luscious locs, not all broken and short. I think it's based on the person. The people I know that smoke ganja aren't out of work good for nothings either, so that might make a difference. The average weed smoker lays around and watches TV all day. I think that has lots to do with why some smokers hair looks like doo doo. They're too lazy to do anything with it. As for smoking cigs, yeah, I know plenty of people that smoke cigs and their hair has a certain dryness and when they get gray their gray hair looks yellow.

I smoke cigarettes but I dont think it changes anything...

Believe me, smoking changes EVERYTHING. From the top of your head to the bottom of your feet. I am a nurse at a cancer center, and not to be crass, but smokers keep our hospital booming.

Ladies forget about how it affects your hair, and think about how it affects your brain, mouth, throat, lungs, stomach, kidneys, bladder, colon, uterus, ovaries, and cervix! Yes ladies, smoking causes cancer in all of these places just to name a few. It is impossible to enjoy your hair when the chemotherapy drugs make it fall out in clumps, and you have to shave your head bald. If this information alone isn't enough to make you quit smoking, then ladies.... your hair is obviously the least of your worries.

Ok, I'm getting off my soap box now...

wow.. smoking is serious.. man i wish i never started.. but all i can do is keep getting better

I am so very proud of you for taking the first step to quit, and believe me, it takes one day at a time. Nothing more, nothing less.

Hopefully more beautiful women will be inspired by your strength!:clap::clap:

I know a couple of people of have had that issue. They say that if you burn with lip gloss that can be a reason. I know someone that slows down when they see their lips get dark and then start again when they are normal again. But I think that whole lip gloss story is true. Who know....:look:

:lachen::lachen: Girl, you made me laugh. I still always manage to get a good job. I guesss I get lucky.:look:
I've been on my job 2 years and have never had to do drug testing, but I am too dang scary:lachen::lachen:. I miss having that F-it in my system though:lachen:. oh, well.

:lachen::lachen:I was a bong-user, lol, so I never had that issue. I'd be blazin' today were it not for the fact that I'm a medical assistant, and need to be on my A-game.

man i got the dark.. lookin like a pink/purple and that was so disgusting to me.. i couldnt wear the cute pink lipsticks and i made me feel so ugly.. but im happy to say after 4mos.. my lips are better then ever.. so yes i feel you..

hmmm bong.. i guess it was the blunts.. but then again i know it was smoking period so not going back for me..

I had read a couple articles somewhere about how smoking can dry out the hair. Something about nicotine constricting the micro-cappilaries (sp?) which network to the hair bulb...anyway can't recall word for word but it was said to be more of a progressive process I think (effects show up a little later).
