I think I'm gonna stay here. TBL is my ultimate goal...I don't know if I wanna be longer than that. I imagine it would be too much to care for.

How often do you have to replenish conditioner and other hair products? :cantlook:

@SmilingElephant I haven't been replenishing anything that often since I've been doing my hair rather infrequently. I bet you use a lot of products since you do your hair much more often than me. I was eyeballing those Novex products you had mentioned. :look:

That makes sense. I run out of products in about 2-3 months at a time. Definitely give Novex a try, they have great products! :yep: VERY moisturizing!

I just looked them up, they seem to have a lot of products, and very reasonably priced over here too. Which items are you using? Have you tried their curl range or leave ins?
I LOVE their Movie Star Line and the Mystic Black lines. I just also bought their My Curls Intense leave in. I used the My Curls deep conditioner too years ago and I remember it working extremely well.

I'm interested in their my curls range. I'm wanting to lock down some staples that I know will work how I need them to, and to have as a backup for when I become a DIYer.

I honestly didn't think I'd get into making my own hair products so soon, although I'm a long way off from shampoos/conditioners/hair creams/gels.

It's exciting but I'm a little nervous about how my hair will take to the products, and I'm also hoping for amazing results in both the products and my hair.

Thread Question: What Is One Thing You Will NEVER Do to Your Hair Again?

For me, I don't think I'll ever cut my hair again. I don't like having short hair and I hate the grow out phase. Plus, I'm keeping it long for spiritual reasons...and because long hair goes better on me.

So is EVERYBODY leaving my thread? I feel some type uh way :look: :bye:

:lachen:

I'm still here! :hugxplode:

You know the longer length threads tend to be less active bc ladies are usually in a mode by the time we reach a certain length and there's not much to report.

You've been doing a good job on throwing in engagement questions. Though.

Annnnddd, I believe that lurkers will still post. We all just seem to post in any thread when we feel like it anyway!

I agree. I read every post.

I'm still here.

I finally took down these mini twists. It was painful. I'm not entirely sure what went wrong this time. Maybe too much tallow and not enough clarifying...

WAAIIIITTTT... Not sure, but this time I mixed batana oil with my tallow. I'm wondering if this is what caused the crazy build up at my roots (and some of my ends). If so, I'll have to figure out how to properly use this oil. If it continues to cause problems, I might have to only use it on twists that I don't keep in for a long time or turn it into a skin treatment intead.

Yeah, you've been using tallow for a while so batana oil seems to be the only variable that's changed.

I would never go blonde again. (Highlights only) Ooooooo lordt what a toll it took on my hair. I thought I was so fly too with that crispy, Velcro of a mess. I was also transitioning at the time so I had a double whammy of chemicals. Even though I only went to professionals, the dye still did a number. Now, I only use colors that deposit not anything that requires lifting in order to leave the color. Nope. Never. No ma’am Pam.

I agree. I've had blonde highlights and blonde hair twice in my life, and each time my hair fell out. I don't ever see me doing that again...even though balayage keeps catching my eye...I dont feel like going through another hair crisis :nono:
