Sleeping sexy while on a hair journey?

Didn't know which section to put this is as it is very much hair related but also slightly off topic.

So my long-time boyfriend and I decided to get a really nice hotel room for New Years Eve. I'm really excited, but I'm also a bit torn; I typically pin my hair up in pin curls (or wrap) and wear a satin scarf to bed. For this night, I want to look cute and sexy while being sleep, but at the same time I want to have nice hair the next day and my hair + hotel pillows is not the business. Normally if I have to sleep over, a scarf is fine and he knows why I wear one. However, this is a rare chance for us to do something nice and I know he isn't much of a fan of my scarves. It'd be nice to sleep "cute". What should I do? Is there a way to balance both or not wear a scarf without my hair becoming a dry and tangled mess in the morning?

Also, satin pillowcase and twisted pigtails. Unless, of course, you can't pull off sexy pigtails.

SOME men love that messy hair look. If you pin curl it and sleep on it, it will look like fallen curls the next morning, right? I wear a wrap every night except when I'm with my man. One night won't kill the health of your hair. Enjoy yourself and take a flat iron just in case. Lol.

I'm raising my hand for the "be sexy until he falls asleep" choice lol.

I'll tell him to bring the pillow case and I'll pack a hair clip (I made him buy satin pillow cases a while back purely for my hair lol).

SuchaLady normally I would, but this is like a super special night so I wanna be different lol

I don't know, the only way that I would consider not wearing a hair scarf is if I was dating someone from a different race. ALL black men at this point should know that some/most black women wrap their hair up at night.

I like the sexy pigtails option:yep: Or just let it be for the one night on a satin pillowcase:yep:

You could do a high bun (or hair pinned up) + satin pillow case and wear a thick black headband just to keep your edges down. Like the really soft ones that are made with cloth. I'll try to post a pic. I've done this before and woken up with decent hair. My edges are the most troublesome for me.

LOL! Chile, my husband is a different race and he knows what time it is at bed time. I'm either sleeping on a satin pillow case or in a satin scarf. Choose one.

Anyhow, I vote for the satin pillow case and to do the pineapple thing with your hair.

Disregarding the couple in the pic, this has been my inspiration regarding this issue:

A cute scarf nicely wrap.

However, if it's for a special occasion, I'd do a high bun pinned up. I mean, for my honeymoon night I will not be wearing a scarf of any sorts lol.

I agree with bring a satin pillow case and be sexy till he falls asleep.

 ITA

This is what i would do. i need a scarf so that my hair is not a hot mess the next day. worst case scenario, i put the scarf over the hotel pillow if i forget my satin pillowcase and sleep like a mummy all night.:yep:

i wouldn't pin curl and all that but i do understand wanting to sleep cute....here is the thing about sleep, you do it with your eyes closed. when he falls asleep, scarf it up!
