I'm only posting this challenge for participation and as a placeholder & will not be moderating this challenge thread.

• Natural

What's your plan to reach SL?

• Wearing only my hair with the exception of box braids. I really need to get an understanding of what my hair needs.
• Aryurvedic practices

What's your regimen?

• Straightening once every other month. I can go 5 weeks or more with perfectly straight hair. Deep condition every wash.
• Making a whipped shea butter. I think this will help with retention.
• Trimming every 3-4 months if needed.
• Scalp massages.
• Oil on ends when straight 1-2x week. Wrap or pin curl.
• Wash & gos

How will you celebrate/reward yourself when you reach SL?

• Purchase hair products.
• A nice dryer from Sally’s!

Anything else you want to share?

It's a real small crowd so far this year.

To keep my regimen simple & consistent as much as possible.

What's your regimen?
-Ayurvedic tea or mud 2x a week.
-DC 2x a week.
-Whipped Shea in hair 2-3x a week.

How will you celebrate/reward yourself when you reach SL?
Not sure.

Anything else you want to share?
I'm having a small issue with iron, so I'll be correcting my iron & vitamin D levels as well to combat shedding and hair loss.

I'm no where near APL . If you two are close to shoulder length @VinaytheMrs @Kells, I think you should join the APL challenge. I'm having scalp issues so I don't know if I'll make NL this year. Until I fix that, I'll just continue to lurk .

I understand! I see a few that are NL in the APL challenge. My hair will just hit the shoulders by December. I'm a SLOW grower lol. Good luck to you!

Relax every 6 weeks in the salon.
Wash weekly with KeraCare Detangling Shampoo.
DC weekly with Purelogy conditioner.
Flat iron once a week.
Moisturize as needed with Hyrdathermal Naturals moisturizer.

How will you celebrate/reward yourself when you reach SL?
I wish to color my hair if it healthy.

Updates!!

So I remember when I tried to update my starting pics in January, they wouldn't upload then and still aren't uploading now.
These are updated pics from today.

@VinaytheMrs I'm sorry I'm ultra late!!

Maybe everyone decided to join the APL after all but I'm just here to update my 3 Month progress although my January starting pics still won't upload.

But as you can see with my hair, I'm slowly getting out of the TWA phase so it's FINALLY getting a *little* stretch on it.

I wouldn't want to join the APL challenge now; I feel like I'd be in it forever! so if I'm in this thread by myself that's okay

So while writing THIS post though, I just tried to upload my OLD pics and these worked!!

These are few months before the challenge.
The shorter TWA was in October.
The next one was in November.

I’m still here @Kells, you are making good progress! I’ve been under a wig after some heat damage. I think I can still make SL this year. I will get some pics posted tomorrow!

Will be washing today.

My wash day regimen has gone from twice a week to once a week.

Ayurvedic tea bath for my hair, deep condition, slather it all in shea butter mix and bun it.
The shea butter mix has been retaining every MILLIMETER of my strands!!
So far, I'm on track to make SL this year
