I was reading a hair magazine and came across a paragraph that said instead of shampooing your hair and then airdrying, you should instead separate and palm loc or do the sister loc method of interweaving hair together. It said it helps prevent hair from matting together when it airdries. What is it talking about and how do you do this?

Sorry to hijak the thread....BLKMaryland...

I know you are in here...so can you carry your butt back to the health and fitness board and answer my question about the MC:lol:

So sisterlocs are like very thin locs? That's what it looks like from the website gallery. Are you planning on locing, Poohbear?

no, i thought it was a method of airdrying. i havent checked out that website yet. so is sisterlocs the same as dreadlocks? maybe the magazine I read was talking about natural hair. i dunno.

By the look of the pics on the sisterlock website, it must be a style for natural/no perm hair. Looks like those would be a nightmare to take out.

Sisterlocs are a form of drealocs. A little girl in my old classroom is getting sisterlocs. Her stylist gave her really small comb coils that she will let loc. I think they are prettier than dreads because the individual pieces of hair are much thinner and it seems like you can do a lot more like it like put curls in it and braid and much more stuff that you would do with hair that's not locked. Until I saw sisterlocs, I thought all locked hair was ugly but now I see that locked hair can be cute.
