I’ve been wondering who on this forum has the longest relaxed or texlaxed hair with the simplest regimen (not a lot of products of steps). I am always looking for ways to simplify things.

^^ I think Traycee must have a simple reggie (her blog is about K.I.S.), she has pretty long hair. Happily Me (DSylla) has hiplength texlaxed hair but I'm not sure what her reggie is like.

How do you make your spritz?

Do you keep it in the refrigerator?

How long does it last before it starts to mold?

I've simplified my regimen.

Daily:
Spritz with Ayurveda tea, moisturize, and seal
PS with bun, wig, etc..

Weekly:
Detangle hair
Ayurveda regimen, DC with protein and moisture at same time
Apply leave ins, seal

Monthly:
Clarify/Chelate
Nexxus Emergence

12 to 16 weeks:
Touch with Affirm Fiberguard Sensitive Scalp No Lye

That's it. I was co-washing daily and loved it but it became a bit much. This is much simpler for me and my hair is thriving. It just likes to be left alone.

Im natural and my regimen is

dc/wash/conditon- 1x a week
clarify- 1x a month
baggy-5 days a week

My products- hairveda amala cream rinse, moist 24/7 conditon, sitrinillah mask, s-curl.

Im hoping to keep this same regimen because its working for me, i might switch some stuff when winter comes but it will mostly stay the same.

I'm natural 4 a/b and get my hair cornrowed without extensions every 2 weeks (avatar)

I only use natural products & try to keep it as simple as possible

Hot Oil Treatment twice a month on dry hair with heat for 30 minutes
- Week 2: Mixture of Aubrey Organics HSR, Raw Castor Oil & Organic Honey. (Organic molasses if needed)
- Week 4: Mixture of Aubrey Organics GBP, Raw Castor Oil & Organic Honey.

Fortnightly
Shampoo with Aubrey Organics White Camellia
ACV rinse with added organic tea tree & lavender essential oils
Deep condition with Aubrey Organics White Camellia.

Condition wash with diluted Aubrey Organics White Camelia at least once a week.

Week 4: Clarify with Bicarbonate of Soda in preparation for protein treatment.

Daily moisturise with spritz of 100% organic rosewater.

Seal in moisture with homemade oil concoction and oil scalp as needed.

I'm relaxed.

I shampoo once a week with Giovanni shampoo. It has no sulfates. I buy it at Walgreens.

Then I DC with Aussie 3 minute Conditioner.

Then I put on my Porosity Control for about a minute then rinse.

Next I spray my hair with Aphogee Pro Vitamin Leave In.

Then I roller set.

I use NTM as my moisturizer. This is all I use. Then I pincurl for bed and put on my satin scarf. That's how I got the style in my siggy.

In kinky twists:
Wash once per week
Shea butter scalp like crazy

Hair out of kinky twists:
Wash every other day
Pantene Cassia Conditioner
Shea butter
2-strand twists or a puff

1-2 times a month, I will use Porosity Control and then DC with protein or moisture. Normal styling takes me 45 min. to an hour after washing, and my styles last until I wash again.

That's it for me. Every now and then I jump on a bandwagon, but my consistency is very low - even for the ones that work well.

Cowash Daily (leave conditioner in and bun/braid)
Deep Condition 2X week
Sulfate Free Poo weekly

Relax, Protein treatment, and Henna every 3-6 months

Every 5-7 days:
Wash (elucence MB shampoo) and deep condition (motions CPR mostly) for 15-20mins with or without heat
Rollerset w/ lacio lacio
Airdry in rollers

During the week i apply moisturizer (lacio) to my dry hair and wear in a ponytail or pincurl hair overnight and wear loose the next moring. I do hot oil preshampoo treatments (1 oz olive oil 1/2 castor oil) 1-2x's a month. I relax every 10-12 weeks.

some of these regimens are making me :spinning:..."simple" is loosely defined.

when my hair is curly, i cowash 2-3x a week, rinse out most of the conditioner, and dry it with a t-shirt. i'll put it up in a wet bun or wear a WNG. every 2 or 3 weeks i will ACV rinse.

when wearing my hair straight, i DC for an hour or so, ACV rinse, add a leave-in and heat protectant, set it on flexirods (or blowdry if i am lazy) and flat iron. i'll moisturize with coconut oil when my hair feels dry, which doesn't happen often. i repeat this process every 2 weeks.

Twist regimen..

Twist with cocoshealoe on clean hair. Spritz 2X daily with shower water & remoisturize with cocoshealoe. Cowash as needed (every 3-4 days). Rock twist out for 2-3 days. Start all over again.

Braid regi...

Braid...cowash daily & moisturize with cocoshealoe. Leave hair alone for 3-6 weeks!

Wash hair 1x every week, sometimes two (CON)
DC or protein treat (Queen Helene Cholesterol, lustrasilk or DPR-11)
Moisturise and protective style 99% of the time
Oil scalp as needed (castor oil)

  • Pre poo once weekly
  • Wash once a week with either shampoo or conditioner
  • Deep condition when needed (once fortnightly)
  • Apply leave in once weekly
  • Moisturise twice a week
  • Two strand twist once weekly
  • Clarify every 4 to 6 weeks
That's all! I like to keep it simple. Since I went natural, I noticed I don't need to many products:yep:

I'm a "KISS" girl! I'm texlaxed (every 4-5mos). My routine consist of poo/conditioner/bdry/flat iron/...weekly. On rare occasion I airdry and bun or rollerset (maybe every 5 or 6 months).

The only product I use for moisture maintenance is Organic, unrefined Coconut oil.

I think I'm a KISS girl. I have lots of product samples, still looking for THE right ones as my transitioning hair is changing needs.

Every two weeks:
Wash, condition, airdry 80%, blow dry and curl

Between those two weeks:
NO HEAT
Pin curls
Daily Moisturize hair and roots
Seal ends, as needed

That's it!

I am relaxed and I play with my hair once a week.

Weeks 1-8
1) Mix my oils (Coconut Oil, Castor Oil Creme (Cheap), Shea Butter, and
WGO or Mango Oil)
2) I let my oils sit for at least an hour, but definitely like to go for a lot
more than that
3) Rinse out VERY well
4) Apply Shea Butter and heat protector (Nexxus) on wet hair
(NOT A BUNCH)
5) Blow dry with my hand dryer over the head on LOW HEAT
6) Apply 2 spirtz of my Nexxus Heat Protector and a drop of Biosilk
7) Flat Iron (ONCE A WEEK DONT BITE ME!- STAND BACK)

Week 9
1) Mix my oils (Coconut Oil, Castor Oil Creme (Cheap), Shea Butter, and
WGO or Mango Oil)
2) Add my protein (Nexxus Emergencee)
3) Sit for an hour or 1.5 Hours tops
4) Wash out with my Nexxus Moisture Shampoo (Moisture- Sorry ladies,
girls gotta do what she do- to me it still strips) 1X (I let the shampoo
stand for 30sec - 1 minute) You can substitute this with a natural shampoo- I just havent
found one that I really like yet- I have the Jason Aubrey thing but I dont like it.
5) Mix my oils AGAIN (Coconut Oil, Castor Oil Creme (Cheap), Shea Butter,
and WGO or Mango Oil)
6) Sit for as long as I want
7) Rinse VERY WELL
8) Light Shea butter with Heat Protector ( Nexxus )
9) Hand Blow Dry on LOW HEAT
10) Comb Dry hair
11) Light Heat protector and pea size Biosilk
12) I SAID STAND BACK---- while I flat iron my hair :drunk:

Then I just repeat weeks through 9 until I am ready for a relaxer and I do my protein treatment a week before my relaxer.

Drops of oil (WGO) on my finger tips and massage my scalp every other day.

My hair is a full half ear length. Nape area is growing strong since my last eczema problem back there and stylist not making sure the relaxer was fully neutralized in the back.

I had my big cut in May 09 and I have seen lots of growth into August 09. Check out the attachments to see the pics of the growth!

Hair & Skin - Black and shiny!

Lately my regime has been really simple:

I wash my hair once a week with Motions CPR Shampoo and CPR Conditioner. Then follow up with Motions Moisture Plus mixed with olive oil. Then I moisture my hair with scurl and put hair grease on my ends(do this once a day) and bun. My hair is loving me for this and I am retaining my length (hopefully I wil be full apl by then end of the year!!!!!!!)

For me, this is as simple as it gets:

Wash and DC with heat - 2x's per week
Moisturize and seal - daily

Strecth relaxers - 3x's per year
Nupur Henna - 2x's per month

daily: spritz with nettle tea and condish mix

friday night: cleanse hair and scalp with bentonite clay for 15 mins, rinse off with water only, make 6 large twists and apply henna to last 1/3 of hair (ends) apply plastic cap

saturdays: rinse off henna, apply le kair olive oil cholesterol with hair still in twists, dc for an hour using heat for (10mins) detangle hair with a wide toothed comb and then a denman in sections. rinse hair, apply aussie smoothing milk leave in and seal with castor oil...usually air dry in a pinned style.

sometimes i co-wash in the week, if i have been swimming or apply garlic oil. i'm not consistant with co-washing though.
