Silly question about stockings as hair ties

So some people use old pantyhose, tights, or stockings cut into rings as hair ties. Is there a preference when it comes to which type of stocking? I thought about getting little girl tights, but aren't those more rough than adult leggings?

Help me out here. :spinning:

:hehe I like using the silkiest ones possible - a lot of times, I'll use a piar of women's trouser socks - they tend to be sturdy, yet silky and soft at the same time. :yep:

I use to use tights as a child but the little holes in the tights would rip my hair out so becareful...

I use Cut Trouser Socks as well... Besure to read the labels of the stockings or hose you pick up....to be sure there is no cotton in the stocking. That can dry your hair. I also soak my hair band in oil.

For the brands -I buy troser socks from Wal Mart or Target.... and buy Cheapo Panty hose. I get more bands out of those.:drunk:

After i wear my stockings for as long as I can, I cut the toe and thigh portions off of both legs. That way, I end with 2 headbands.
