Silk or Satin? What do you wear to bed and why?

I prefer Silk. One, I like that it's a natural fiber. Two, it's smoother than satin, which still seems a little rough to me.

Also, I think satin still takes moisture from my hair.

My hair under a silk scarf, feels quite moist in the morning.

ITA! I get my silk scarfs from Marshalls.

I have a silk scarf and a satin scarf. The silk scarf won't stay on at night. The satin scarf will. I perfer to sleep in silk bonnets with the drawstring ties.

I wear a synthetic satin du-rag to bed each night. It helps to flatten and smooth out my hair, because it fits on my head so snugly. But since it is really polyester (plastic) with a satin finish, I need to check into buying myself a few silk scarves.

i use silk scarves from honeyfig n i luv them...some how i got 2 in mail even though i only paid for one:look:....

***stupid question alert***:hammer:

say for instance i did the saran wrap treatment, wrappin a silk scarf around then the plastic. would some of the "silk properties" help make my hair softer? or damage the silk?

jus askin...:look:

Silk scarves are cheap and pretty and plentiful at Ross, Marshalls and TJ Max.

I have a wrap from prettywrap.com and I like it too.

I invested in several silk scarves b/c satin wears out more easily and I have noticed stronger edges, less breakage in the nape and softer, more moisturized hair than my satin days.
