For those of you who have type 4a/b hair, which one of these conditioners would you rate the best?

I have to go with Silicon Mix..I am not sure if these two can be compared.

Thanks for your response ladies. I'll have to add Silicon Mix to my list when I finish my current conditioners.

More comments are welcome . . .

I have to since I bring my hair products into the salon. My stylist has been very patient with me and he's tested a few conditioners on my hair and Motions Moisture Plus and Motions CPR makes his job a lot easier. These are the ones he recommended.

However, I told him I have more conditioners and he said: "If you want me to test them, I will." When I bring the subject up, he doesn't say anything, so I may have to test them myself. That's why I stop buying new products because I don't think he wants to use them. His patience is wearing thin, so I'm no longer a product junkie.

The only thing is that I've never done my hair before, and it's below bra clasp length. He's the only stylist that handles my hair gently without tearing it out. It gets extremely nappy after he washes and deep conditions it. He uses Infusium 23 Leave in Treatment to detangle it, because it works better than the other detanglers I used to bring in.

I have to say Silicon mix also. I have actually used Motions products but I'm a Dominican junkie, now. I see that you have another "versus thread" out here too. Just try the silicon mix!

I haven't used the Motions in quite some time, but I do remeber liking it. Right now though, I am digging silicon mix.

That is awesome you have someone to work with you like that, and I am sure that is a lot better on your pocket book! I hope to find the "one" product line and get my hair care plan down and stop being tempted by everything that I hear about here :yep: One day...

What made it easy to find the right products is that he has a variety of brand name products already in his salon, but he would still let me bring in whatever I wanted to test because of what I read on this discussion board. (I turned into a product junkie once I stumbled onto LHCF.)

Since he's been my stylist for a long time, he automatically knew what works and what won't; but to convince me, he had to show me first since I was using Verifen Complex products for ten years, (which are my primary staples, and I still have a lot left), and he really saw an improvement in my hair. In fact, he would tell his other customers about this hair care line whenever they would make comments about my hair.

The products he recommends (CON, MMP and Infusium 23 original leave in treatment) costs a whole lot less, and I get the same results. I'm so amazed how much more I can buy with the money that I spent on Verifen Complex products. However, Verifen products save a lot of time and they don't need "doctoring up;" in other words, you don't have to add any oil, honey, glycerin, shea butter, etc., or anything to them. Nor do you need to do a hot oil treatment, pre-shampoo treatment, conditioning wash, etc. Just use them straight from the jar/canister. I just add olive oil to MMP; the same applies to any other conditioners except Verifen Complex.

I use both often, and they both serve different purposes at different times for me. MMP is my staple for deep conditioning and I don't have to add anything to it like oils or other conditioners. Silicon Mix goes into heavy rotation when I'm pretty far post to help detangle my hair. For me, SM doesn't moisturize my hair like MMP but gives SUPER slip and makes the hair light as a feather. I often mix the SM with something else like Emergencia for awesome results.

They are both  for me!

SM gets it for me! I used this for the first time last week and was so impressed that I have already been back to he BSS to buy some more. What can I say: the smell, moisture, softness, SHINE. My hair is dull and never shines and it actually blinged after DC'ing with this. I am so happy that I tried this, this is something I would have never bought w/o LHCF. MMP left my hair feeling coated and dry. The only bad thing about the SM are the cones and mineral oil......oh well guess I'll have to clarify more often, cause my hair really loved it.

I will have to try the S M. I like SelfStyled also have dull dry hair, hopefully this will work for me as well!

I've used both and l like both, but I gotta say that MMP always leaves my hair feeling soft and smooth. :yep:

Silicon Mix!
I like the MM also. I use it about once or twice a month depending on how resistant my hair is behaving. I love silicon mix but me transitioning to natural, my hair responds better if I rotate it with another product.
I have also been using SM, with vatika, and Dudley Styling foam as a leave in for my pony and I have no shedding or breakage. I am very happy with both.
