silica question

How much should one take? also,which brand is good? I have had gnc's silica, but I don't know if that's enough.

I actually use puritan's pride products because they are cheap, I hear they work, and I only have to take 1 pill a day because I buy a high potency. Go to their website at "puritanspride.com" You know, I think that I use horsetail because it's in silica anyway. So, I don't use silica. Hope this helps.

There's a really good thread about Silica...I can't recite it BUT, the GNC Silica states the "correct" amount of silica that you'll be getting. I've read that 20-30mg a day of Silica is good for hair health. From what I remember, if it says something like 500mg, you aren't getting 500mg of Silica...only a portion of that is actual silica that you'll be getting. I'll see if I can find the post and bump it for you. It's extremely informative to make sure you don't take too much!!
