I have a little hair in that area and I just shave it off. My hair is fine and I never get ingrown hairs so I shave it off w/o soap & water.

My sideburns are adorable and I love them. I just let them be.

waxed my sideburns for the first time. i was good with it until i broke out like nobodies business. i went from being made fun of for being hairy to being made fun of for having pimples/an allergic reaction.

i miss my baby hairs. i'll continue to either bleach or leave them alone from now on.

Yeah my friend used to call me Elvis in highschool :lachen: but I've always loved my sideburns. I've worn a short cropped cut for most of my adult life so they were always shaved off, but now that I'm growing my hair I embrace them. I do trim them though so they look neat.

I wanted to wear this cute short wig a couple weeks ago, but in order for it to look decent I had to shave off my sideburns. All I had was a regular razor so I went to shave my right sideburn off and took off a little piece of my ear with it! :lachen: Hubby and I had a good laugh about that later on!

I don't have sideburns, and I've never really noticed them on others useless they are very long or thick. IMO I think that if you have noticable sideburns it is a good idea to remove them because it opens up your face and makes it look brighter like when you get your eyebrows done.

i have side burns but i let them be.
Im a very hairy person, i mean hairy like the head on my hair connects to my eyebrows is im not careful.

i used to get regular lineups as a child from my mom. lol

but quite frankly i stopped caring i mean i keep it neat but i dont obsess over it. I figure my hairline wont be receding anytime soon, and for that alone im thankful

I've had them all my life and was teased constantly for them! But I love my sideburns, they make me stand out from the norm. I tried shaving them once but they decided to come in thicker! So I learned my lesson from that mistake! Mine are not bushy though, they lay down but are still noticable. My sideburns are my trade mark and I am proud of them.

My twin sister does'nt have them, but she never has been hairy like me.:yep:

Hate them with a passion. I have thin edges/ temples from braiding but somehow my side burns survived and contnue to do so and thrive. They are like cockroaches, they never die. So much so that sometimes I think I am Wolverine. Why when there is no hair on my head that the damned stuff grow everywhere else and cost me a small FORTUNE in waxing, threading and electrolysis......???:perplexed

I am a hairy person too! Nice to see I am not alone. There is very little space between my eyebrows and hairline. My sister...no hair. Not even on her legs really.

Seriously? :look: sideburns? I have sideburns but I have never noticed them...I've never even had anyone else notice them, and I've never noticed anyone else with them unless they were like huge and blocky like a man or something. I thought this was something that everyone had, like eyebrows. *baffled* to me this is like shaving those little fine arm hairs, all well and good but for most people just unnecessary unless it's extreme...

..unless that is also seen as uncouth, :lachen::lachen: I have to worry about my bikini line, my legs, my underarms, and now my SIDEBURNS? bump that mess :lachen: how many more things do we need for women to feel bad about? gotdamn!

My sideburns were only noticeable to me when I had braids. My beautician would shave them off when my hair was in a short crop. I never really thought about them much otherwise.

I remember one time I had braids and must have rushed out my room without brushing them & my roommate said I was looking like Ashanti's dog:blush:.

I ADORE my sideburns....shaving them  . Frankly, all this shaving and "lining up" looks weird and unnatural. :nono2:

More women would be happier if they accepted themselves AS IS rather than trying to fix what ain't broke. Men don't think like this and maybe we could learn something from them. :yep:

You and I are so >>here<<. :yep:

When i have a short hair cut, they frame my face perfectly.

The only time i had a problem with them was when i was natural and i was waiting for them to grow with the rest of my hair..that is the only time i have a problem with them.

This reminds me of an Indian girl who had very long sideburns. I always thought they were very pretty. Slap a lil gel on them and brush them into a curve, very feminine & cute. I may be the oddball though?

thats like my mom, no hair at all.
i really dont know where all the hair came from..
lol but trust me your not the only one :)

I have them and the ONE time I had them shaved off I looked so weird.
I looked like some men with facial hair look when they shave it all off.
I just looked...weird.
So I leave them alone now. I don't mind them. As long as one is keeping them groomed and not wild and looking like a loose braid.:look:

I used to trim my sideburns into a diagonal angle before I found LHCF. I started growing them out and they're now they're almost the same length as my hair. My natural hairline stops mid-ear, at the top of that piece of cartilage that sticks out.

my friend has really thick sideburns, and she was just telling me about this exact issue. her eyebrow lady and hair stylist are always pressuring her to shave or cut them. and she said all the guys she knows have always said it wasn't a problem or that they actually found them attractive. but when she asked females they almost all said she should cut them or shave them. she said since she doesn't date women and men have no problem with them, she's not cutting them. lol

I have thick long side burns but they lay down like baby hair. They don't bother me or DH so I just leave then alone.

yeah I have to cut mine down to lay flat cause them bad boys grown long enough to braid. The sides grown out straight but they keep growing ..I dont bother them too much because they just keep growing back ..the lady that does my weaves shaved them because I have a very short weave but now its 5 weeks later and theyre back
