Shoulder Length Hair for tall people

I'm trying to grow my hair out and im 5'8, yet i dont know how many inches it would be for me to set my goal...Anyone that can help please respond!!!!

Hey 26, I know what you mean girl! I'm the same height as you. I sent you that link from a previous post. I found it very helpful. I think I'm right at the 2yr. mark now. The back of my hair touches my collarbone; the sides are shorter because I have layers ( I think I'll keep those even when I reach my goal....1"below bra clasp! Do you know your hair type yet? I don't!

Hello,

I am 5'8" also and as someone mentioned in another post about, you also need to factor in the length of your neck. I have a long neck and have been growing out my hair about three years. The longest layers are past my shoulders in the back and past my collar bone in the front. I have another 6 to 8 inches to get to bra strap length. Hopefully, I can minimize some of the major trims that I have had to do so that I can retain more length over the next year.

don't know if you ladies know who Carolyn Gray is, but she has a very long elegant neck. Her hair is at bra strap, but it looks amazingly longer than bra strap at a glance and I know it's because of her neck.

I'm 5'7" and shoulderlength for me was over 15" from hairline to ends. I also have a long neck. Has anyone noticed that their side pictures never have their neck straight? I seem to lean up when taking side pictures. Someone commented on that in my fotki album. If I pose so that it looks like my head is facing straight it feels funny. Maybe it's just me. But I've noticed that other long neckers do the same thing.

I'm 5'10 and for me shoulder length was about 9 inches from scalp to ends (but maybe I have a short neck), Bra strap is about 19 inches from scalp to ends.

When stretched my hair is about 2 inches past my shoulders but it's been at this length for a while now, it seems like ages!
