Should I condition after a deep conditioner?

Yes, sometimes I do. In my crown and sides mostly. I use leave-ins to take care of them. The best detangling leave-in I've found is ApHogee Pro Vitamin. It doesn't come in a spray bottle, I put it in one.

A couple of sprays and the tangles are instantly gone.

What's your method of detangling? Do you detangle in the shower, knelt(sp?) over the tub, or in the sink? It could be alot of factors that contribute. Do you work the shampoo in the scalp first? Or do you shampoo by tiling all the hair on top of the head?

I do at times, esp if the deep conditioner is a protein based. They are designed to make your hair harder. So I follow up always with a good moisturizing one. The one conditioner that always allows a comb to just glide thu my hair is Silcon Mix. I sometimes feel guilty for using it after very expensive products like Aveda that may not provide the most slip. I wonder if putting it on has adverse affects on the deep conditioning?

I'm a tangled mess after deep conditioning especially since I'm 13 weeks post...I've been using a rinse after rinsing out the DC to aide in detangling in the shower. I have to wash today, and I'm dreading it since I know I'll shed like a dog with all this NG and tangles :ohwell:. I may have to add some silicon mix to my other dc to help out.
