Short/Medium Relaxed Hair Routines

Don't know if you really want my advice but I am a currently rocking a short cut. I am almost 7 weeks post relaxer. Right now I have plenty of new growth.

I wash at least once a week with CON.
Deep Condtion (currently conditioner gumbo with porosity control and protein thrown in)
Blow dry on medium heat, high speed.
flat iron. Put rollers in top and wrap the sides.

I moisturize daily and wrap nightly using pins and covering with a satin scarf.
I keep the flat ironing to once a week b/c I have made a rule that if I am going to flat iron, I must deep condition b4. So that curbs a lot of uneccesary heat usage.

I started out with shorter hair but I was still able to pull it back into a bun, now it was a TINY bun mind you but I used phony ponies and scrunchies made of hair to cover up my little bun. It was my saving grace, buns gave me pretty good growth. When I would wear it straight I would airdry in a ponytail and flat iron, I would brush it all back and put on a scarf to sleep (wrapping thinned out my hair).

I have thought about texturizing instead of relaxing as well. Sometimes I don't want to give up the curly texture by natural hair has but I want to be closer than a 1 1.5 hours from straight hair. I understand too that having short hair can be a pain without a stylist, but there are possibilities without one. Have you ever been texturized? I wonder if you have to go through blowdrying to straighten it?

I tried texturizing, but didn't leave it on long enough so my hair reverted both times. This time, I would take it almost to the point of being straight i.e. texlaxed and be more aggressive with it. As far as straightening, I think a roller set and pass with a flat iron would suffice.

I wish I could do a bun! I would probaby stay natural and grow my hair out that way if I could. . .

My hair is short, prob. 2" long. When I had relaxed hair this short, all I did was wrap and roller set. My hair grew long doing this.:D
