So, I just took out a sew in that I had in for about 5-6 weeks. A net was used as well as weaving hair was added to my braids. What's would a normal amount of shedding after this kind of sew in look like? She did my braids extremely tight as well as the actual sew in which has me concerned. I lost at least a fist full of hair but I know that hair sheds and has nowhere to go while you're under a sew in so what's normal for u ladies?

Normal shedding averages at 50-100 strands a day. If your hair is bound for 5-6 weeks, you can expect anywhere from 1750-4200 shed hairs and consider that normal. (50 hairs*5 weeks*7 days=1750 shed hairs to 100 hairs*6 weeks*7 days=4200 shed hairs). And that's just the normal "average." What's normal for you could be a bit more or less or could vary depending on how your hair reacts to season changes or different products you may use. :-)
HTH!
