The changing of formulas is a death knell for ME.

Camille Rose is the other brand that has undergone formula changes.

I'm sticking to black owned lines, not SM. I'm not even crazy about Devachan products.

SM should have made 1-2 of those 150 new products just for straight hair, and not reformulated on the sly like they have been doing for a while now, they should have learned this lesson from Aubrey.
It's really irks me when companies reformulate and lie and say oh it's the same, we haven't changed a thing, but my hair knows.

It's like Miss Jessie's ingredients went downhill fast, and seems Carols Daughter is substituting cheaper synthetic ingredients too. I was never a fan of Devacan products they never did anything great to my hair no better than suave or Vo5 for that price tag no thanks. I also never got too into to CD or MJ for those reasons (substituting cheaper synthetics for good natural ingredients- hey I read labels) didn't do much or anything good for my hair and the price wasn't right.
I'll pay a little more for products if they really do great things for my hair.

The one I have is white, but I'll be keeping my eyes on their products and the labels if they start acting up, I'll be done with them too. I don't have time for it. I have wanted to try tgin and Mielle or talijah wajid, I need to look for back up staple products if CRN goes sideways. Of course I still have Kinky curly my HG products.

As far as I am concerned all of the products listed upward are suspect until I know the race of the corporate team.
We keep shouting Black hair care is a billion dollar business. So it's no surprised that White folks want a piece of the pie.

Is there a response video on her yt? How does she, and other youtubers like Naptural85 feel who campaigned hard for SM feel about basically being pushed aside?

I see this everyday in my job in Corporate America.

They bring "us" out to do damage control for "them" on anything that "they" deem to be "racially uncomfortable."

"They" see that as our role. To be the clean up Men/Women and sell your own folks out.

Them wanting to diverse is coming from them working for a company who's products weren't a representation of their hair woes. They can't even use those thick, heavily coated products on their hair.
If they truly were about become more diverse, they would have created different teams/divisions. Not just outright start pushing their major consumer to the side.

That's what folks are missing. This organization is so lost, and just backwards. And they need to stop sending the black man out. He is the last person that needs to speak on anything else. He isn't relatable, and he isn't trying to be.

I am bumping this for you. I wasn't a huge fan of their Curl Enhancing Smoothie, but hopefully someone will have suggestions. For masque, I find the Hairveda Deep Conditioning Masque to be really good. It is out of stock on their website at the moment though.

I can NOT believe that the replacement for my HG Shea Moisture High Porosity Masque has been sitting in my product cabinet all along: The Mielle Organics Babassu Oil and Mint Deep Conditioner.


It handled my dry hair very well this morning and left it moisturized!
