Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie Alternative

I'm a 4A/Ab and I need a moisturizer that is thick. I've been using Shea Moisture for years but would like to try something new.

Any suggestions for alternatives I should try?

It seems like you would seek out those that like SM to find alternatives . I was going to offer something I. The opposite direction until I read your post.

Qhemet has some nice thick products.

That's funny. I guess I find that a lot of people don't like the product so I wonder what they use and those who use SM tend to stick to it. Maybe I should edit the title. lol

Thank you for the suggestion. I've never used Qhemet products before. Which one in particular would you recommend?

My hair can't stand the pink CES. Does it actually define your hair?

Oyin Hair Dew is an awesome moisturizer.

For definition, I can't say. Nothing gives me definition but protein conditioners.

I wouldn't say it give me definition, just moisture. I only get defined hair from gel or gel like products. I'll add Oyin to my list. Haven't tried them either.

I ended up with SM Smoothie for a replacement to MyHoneyChild's Buttery Soy Creme as the Creme was no longer sold in the U.K.

Another alternative is MyHoneyChild's Type 4 Creme.

I've never found anything comparable to that product

There are actually 3 smoothies. Coconut & hibiscus, Sacha inch, & super fruit. Maybe try one of the other 2

I have Qhemet's amla & heavy cream and to me that's not comparable.

I don't like SM but I went with something thinner, TGIN but you wanted something heavy.

In the Qhemet line I like the Burdock Root first and then the Amla & Olive. I also like the MyHoneyChild Type 4 hair cream. It's heavy but it doesn't have the consistency of SM.

Nice! Thanks ladies for all the suggestions.

The type 4 cream is a sealant or at least I thought it was.

Lottabody Moisturise Me Curl and Style Milk is really thick and cheap. I haven't noticed whether it gives good definition or not.

Wow! Do the 3 or 4 smoothies perform differently?

I think the one with the most moisture and the thicker one is the coconut and hibiscus. The Sacha Inchi is also moisturizing but provides some hold but not as thick. The 10 n 1 is moisturizing as well. I have only used and am currently using the coconut one( the original one). I haven't tried any of the others. I am just going by some reviews. You can try to watch some reviews. One that I would suggest is the one by mythriftedcloset.
