I posted about this concept months ago but didnt get much feedback because everyone is anti cones
. But anyways
I grew my hair from the damaged SL chickenhead red you see in my siggy to BSL in less than a year without even knowing a thing about LHCF or BHM. After I grew the color out to BSL, I cut it to APL and got more color
. I found BHM and LHCF 2 months later. How did I grow my hair out that fast? No DC, no moisturizer, but I used my serum! My stylist had me terrified of oil so I would not put any oil in my hair
. I used serum instead every morning. Now I know Serum did not GROW my hair, but I think it helped me to retain length by really locking in any moisture (from my moisturizer and DC) I had. So lately I have gone back to this and I must say its a keeper (for me anyway!!). My hair is retaining sooo much more moisture, and I dont have tangles and knots anymore (something I have been struggling with for the past year!). My hair is so supple, I only have to moisturize every 3 days now! Dont get me wrong, I still love my oil. I still use my 2 pt tea tree 1 pt jojoba oil mix for my scalp. But um yea.....yaaay serum!
Just wanted to share!
Oh yea, please excuse the grammatical and spelling errors. I work 6 am to 11 pm on weekends and yea im a little sleepy!

) I do the same thing too... We are like hair twins, **squeals in valley girl voice** OH MY GOD! I used to be on this coconut oil kick - which by the way I still like off and on. But my hair is very fine so oil really weighs down my hair after a few days. I started to seal with my Organix Coconut Milk Serum, waaaay long ago, and my hair has been great. I apply it to my hair when lightly towel dried following my dc and after I put in my leave-in. The proof is in the pudding (as in the rediculous amounts of photos in my fotki). Hair is happy.
While we are at it......I love my blowdryer
drunk:
cones - ESP while transitioning b/c they lubricate every strand and make detangling so much easier. The stuff that car oil does for your engine parts is what serum does for your hair.
