Happy Thursday LHCF,

This has been a sweltering day 105 degrees and it is no joke.

This week my hair was feeling pretty Mushy since I took out my braids, and the Aphogee 2 Step Failed me for the first time, I think because I was at the bottom of the bottle so all the good stuff must have been gone,

SOOOOO, This week I washed my hair with Hair One Olive Oil, I steamed with Motions CPR (it was in my stash) my hair felt strong, then I applied Nexxus Emergencee for 5 minutes, rinsed well and sat with ALTER Ego for 20 minutes under a self heated cap. I braided it up into a busted Beehive braid and slapped on my Vanessa Lace front (in my siggy) I am so Happy with vanessa and can't wait until I can curl her up.

So LHCF what are your hair plans?

WELL.....

I twirled my braids around with my finger.
Covered my head with a scarf

I don't know yet. I have been quite lazy lately but I do know that I need to wash and DC my hair like 10 minutes ago. So I will try to do something about that on this coming Sunday morning.

i need to DC, so i will probably do that friday night. i want to do another twist & curl or braid & curl. with my indecisive behind, i may do both. :giggle:

Conditioning wash/deep conditioning with ORS replenishing conditioner & Pantene relaxed and Natural Mask.

Tonight:grin::

Co-Washed with Hairveda Acai Phyto Berry Conditioner
Sprayed on some Komaza Honeycomb Hair Rejuvenator
Steamed with MyHoneyChild Honey Hair Mask
Used Nexxus Ensure instead of Roux PC
Applied *Ltown's Prioprietary Herbal Blend Spritz*
Christine Gant's Detangling Hair Milk Leave-In
*A little Pure Argan Oil

And Dried.

May Do Henna/Indigo on Monday or Tuesday

I'm gonna see if I can get second day hair with this Ouidad stuff, then my flat iron should be here! I may try to straighten on Saturday or Sunday.

ETA: This is my one pass for the Curly 'Til Christmas Challenge!!

I honestly have not a clue. Between gigs and parties this weekend, idk when I'll have time to do anything!

Just got a relaxer touch up yesterday, so tomorrow I will clarify shampoo, neutralize shampoo, moisturize shampoo, then do a moisturizing deep condition and air dry with my leave-ins. Yeah, I know it's a lot of steps, but in my defense I only do this amount of stuff to my hair the first wash after a relaxer......don't judge me......:drunk:

Let's see: tonight pre-poo with Hemp Seed Oil
Tommorrow(Fri):co-wash w/Hair One Olive Oil
DC * Steam with Silk Elements MegaSilk Moisturizing Treatment
Rinse with Porosity Control
and...................twist up for the week and throw on a wig :D

If I can't find some industrial strength detangler, then I'll be cutting a significant amount of dreads/lock-type chunks out of my hair :cry2::cry2:

I can't figure out why this keeps happening to me. I usually never have issues with my hair, but had a major cut while deployed to the Sandbox, then again after I separated. Hopefully, these knots stay out this time. Maybe I should throw some braids in it :ohwell:
have you tried oil rinsing? rinse your hair, let some oil sit on it for a while, rinse it out, add conditioner, THEN detangle.

I've been DCing weekly but not how I want to. This weekend, I'm going to do an intense DC and wear a twist out. I've been blowing out and flat ironing my hair for the past two weeks using a combination Living Proof's Frizz Styling Treatment, Phytodefrisant, Moroccan Oil, and John Frieda Frizz Ease Thermal Protection. I think I'm going keep this up. I only use heat that one time/day and never again for the rest of the week.

I'm on the look out for a new shampoo and conditioner to try out over the weekend. I want to try Yes to Cucumbers shampoo and conditioner but haven't found it in any stores yet. :/
I seriously need to get back to deep conditioning so I'll probably do that on Saturday. :)

Sep 3- chunky flat twist with kk custard then retwist for bed
Sep 4- untwist if it looks good go....if not banana clip
sep5- wash...dc....rinse....try some chunky twists!

Tonite:
DC overnite with evco, evoo, and hemp seed oil mixed into my Queen Helene Smoothing conditioner.
Detangle with MnT detangler mixed with SAA
Dab a little Biosilk silk therapy on my ends
Blowdry!
I am 15 weeks post...

Thanks, I've never tried that before. So far all I'd done was deep condition on dry and wet hair...they both failed me. I'm going to oil rinse tomorrow and pray that this 4c stuff isn't knotty forever lol :yep:

How often are you detangling your hair? I know that some people go a week or two without detangling. This may work, but may not work for all. You may not need to detangle everyday, but you might need to do it 2 times a week. Make sure you saturate your hair with oil. Good luck.

Friday- Nothing
Saturday-Clarify (since I've been using mtg again), Protein treatment, DC with alter ego, airdry. Hair is still braided up. May have to rebraid some hair in the back.
Sunday-nothing

Friday I went out and purchased some Yes To Cucumbers! conditioner - I heard the ingredients did a change up but I bought it anyways. So I washed with Anita Grant Amla bar - afterwards I yes the Cucumber conditioner- long story short I used the conditioner as a leave in and used nothing else. Twisted hair in sections for the night. Today awesome! hair is awesome I normally do not have a big curl pattern just fluff but I had a nice little zig zaggy like pattern with my strands- today hair was pretty soft felt moisturized. So far for saturday I just took out each section of hair added a dab of hemp oil and castor oil throughout and put my hair in a bun.

Right now, I'm doing a henna treatment. I will wash out the henna later tonight and then braid my hair. Sunday, I will deep condition and then do a braid out.

I'm 6 weeks post, and either tonight or tomorrow, I will:

1. Separate and braid my hair into four sections.
2. Clarify with ORS Creamy Aloe Shampoo.
3. Apply Nexxus Emergencee for 3 minutes.
4. DC with heat using Nexxus Humectress, Aloe Vera Juice, Vatika Oil, and Amla Oil.
5. Do a Cold ACV Rinse.
6. Apply Herbal Essence LTR, Chi Silk Infusion and Castor Oil.
7. Rollerset.

tomorrow i'm gonna shampoo and dc my hair, then put in some mini twists. i want them to last me 2 full weeks this time around. ♥

I pre-poo'd with my oils: evco,co,jojoba oil, sesame oil, sunflower oil, grapeseed oil.
Shampoo with Giovanni SAS (Good stuff btw. It is now my staple)
Then applied Nexxus Emergencee and sat under the hooded dryer. Shampoo'd again (according to directions)
Then did Aphogee 2 min (i was trying to make a strong protein treatment seeing as how i left my two step at home :wallbash: )
I DC'd with Giovanni SAS
Applied my leave ins and did a rollerset.
Thats it for my labor day weekend. I rarely ever "style" my hair.
