I'm contemplating purchasing and using this for the first time ever this Saturday. I know once you put the treatment in your hair heat needs to be applied in order for it to harden, this is the step that confuses me. I know you're not supposed to touch your hair at all during that phase, so how would you get under the dryer without the suction from the dryer disturbing your hair? Or do you use a blowdryer?
^^^ Anyone that uses that product is free to chime in. Thanks!
that part in bold confuses me? my dryer doesnt have suction at least i dont think so. i have a table top hood dryer.
i apply the protein in sections with a coloring brush. i let my hair hang loose (my hair is short but idk what i would do if i had longer hair). towel draped over my shoulders. it gets really messy. it hardens pretty quickly. it just takes time for it to get the ends dry. about 15 mins total. you could use a blow dryer but the instructions say not to agitate the hair with the blow dryer.
this is the way i do it. i would like to know if anyone else has a better method.
well IMO you're not missing out on much. i think if you do lighter protein treatments every so often this is not needed. a whole lot of hassle with not a whole lot of result. I really want to invest in nexxus emergencee but until then I'll use the aphogee 2 step. Thanks for responding to me.
I have a Pibbs and it's pretty powerful, can't sit under it with your hair loose or it can suck your hair right up into the machine. I might pass on this treatment, idk. Thanks again.
Fros on the Fourth Baby!!! I'm doing it.
I took my fro for a trial run on tuesday night.
It's on & crackin. I've got some cornrows in right now and when I unbraid & fluff on Saturday.....Wooooo! ya'll ain't ready fo' dis!!! Please believe me!
