July 2, 3rd and 4th- What R Your Hair Plans??

I think I will be washing and straightening my hair, and may curl it pretty for Saturday night and then wear it in a ponytail for the rest of the week so I wont be messing with it too much....

I have a hair appointment on Friday..I plan to let my stylist check and see how my transition is going, maybe get a trim...but I want a rod set, not a flat iron....been avoiding direct heat during this transition...next Friday, I will be 8 months post..

Since being off schedule, I will be wearing a strawler set style Friday, Saturday and Sunday and then do my weekly wash Sunday night. I will be doing a protein treatment for the first time Sunday and then styling into flat two strand twists to sleep in.

I'm contemplating purchasing and using this for the first time ever this Saturday. I know once you put the treatment in your hair heat needs to be applied in order for it to harden, this is the step that confuses me. I know you're not supposed to touch your hair at all during that phase, so how would you get under the dryer without the suction from the dryer disturbing your hair? Or do you use a blowdryer?

^^^ Anyone that uses that product is free to chime in. Thanks!

that part in bold confuses me? my dryer doesnt have suction at least i dont think so. i have a table top hood dryer.
i apply the protein in sections with a coloring brush. i let my hair hang loose (my hair is short but idk what i would do if i had longer hair). towel draped over my shoulders. it gets really messy. it hardens pretty quickly. it just takes time for it to get the ends dry. about 15 mins total. you could use a blow dryer but the instructions say not to agitate the hair with the blow dryer.
this is the way i do it. i would like to know if anyone else has a better method.

Thanks for responding to me.
I have a Pibbs and it's pretty powerful, can't sit under it with your hair loose or it can suck your hair right up into the machine. I might pass on this treatment, idk. Thanks again.

WET BUNNING! I'm going to the beach on Sunday. I may try saturating my hair with conditioner prior, which was mentioned somewhere previously.

well IMO you're not missing out on much. i think if you do lighter protein treatments every so often this is not needed. a whole lot of hassle with not a whole lot of result. I really want to invest in nexxus emergencee but until then I'll use the aphogee 2 step.

I plan to wash, henna treatment, deep condition and twist my hair this weekend. I'm tired just thinking about it.:lachen:

hmm im not for sure with all this bad rainy weather pretty sure it will rain on the 4th. Im thinking tea rinse dc and braid out bun or roller set

Moisturize (Elasta qp mango butter) and seal (avocado oil) everyday until sunday.

Sunday I'll ....Shampoo with Redken smooth down shampoo
Deep with Lustrasilk Shea butter + Mango (I added Avocado oil)
Use decent amount of Lacio Lacio + Fantasia heat protectant
Flat iron .. Bun for the rest of the week.

wash with hair one olive oil
dc with skala ceramide mask
use skala ceramide leave in, and blowdry
use chi silk infusion
then flat iron

Saturday i will be using my Sexy Pumpkin Conditioner and some Aussie 3 min deep conditioner.

I think I'll do a protein condition, steam in a DC, and practice my cornrow skills. All I need to accomplish is 12-14 of them going straight back NEATLY. I've been studying Youtube videos. Pitiful that I can't do this already, but I've never been able to get the hang of it ...

My 1st wash after my relaxer :D

Oh yes I just got finished washing my hair. LOL

I washed with Hair One Olive Oil, Deep conditioned under the steamer with ORS Replenishing Pak, rinsed, put Aphogee 2 minute on for about 15 minutes, rinsed well, put ChI keratin mist and aphogee leave in, Dried for about 5 minutes under hood dryer, not completely dry, we put on Argan oil combed hair and put in some NTM Silk Touch and pony'd up :D No Blow drying today!
