Sept.30, October 1,2..What Are YOUR Weekend Hair Plans?

*May pre-poo w/ EVOO*

Wash with Elasta QP Creme Conditioning Shampoo.

DC for at least an hour with Silicon Mix (trying to finish it off)

Apply Kinky Curly Knot Today and plait (and pin) my hair

I'm wearing wigs until December so this is what my regimen consists of right now.

Just conditioned my hair with curl junkie argan and olive oil conditioner (I'm so in love with curl junkie) and put my hair in some chunky twist.

Washing out my press from my recent relaxer and DC'ing. IDK what style. Part of me wants to try something new while my hair is straight and part of me wants to put this sucker back in a bun. :perplexed:

Sent from my DROID3 using DROID3

Doing a henna treatment. I'll probably have the henna sit for another hour and then rinse, cowash, and dc. I'm thinking of flatironing today since it's not so humid in Tampa right now. However, I'm am a bit under the weather so I don't know if that'll happen.

@Bajanmum

I hope you get things corrected soon.

Yeah you got to Rinse & Rinse & Rinse and preferably rinse out with Conditioner.:ohwell:

Thanks Hun. :bighug:

It's still breaking a little. Maybe it needed a stronger protein DC.

I washed out the indigo colour really well, however there was still gritty 'sand' left in the strands. Totally trashed my hair and caused splitting. Has set my hair journey back a bit, but I guess I'll trim back until it's back to normal...It's only hair, right?:perplexed

I washed with Qhem Bio Egyptian Wheatgrass, (must have usded too much, vry stripping) then I poo'd with V05 moisturzing poo (still felt stripped) condish'd with V05 moisturizing condish (felt better, not great). Now I'm sitting with black tea rinse in it to ward off shedding). Afterwards I will do a moisturizing condish again, then final rinse with porosity control. Trying to get my hair really moisturized before I go back to the desert.

I think Sundays are going to be my day.
I did a acv rinse and deep cond with morrocan oil hydration mask or something like that because I am not in front of it right now and under the dryer can't tell you. but then I applied hairveda whipped creme ends hydration for my leave in and eco styler to do my rake and shake. I am now under the dryer because I didn't feel like waiting that long for my hair to dry and it is late in the afternoon. I can tell you this I did a second day on the rake and shake and I big hair. I felt so good like I had thick hair for the day. I did it with mixed chicks the first time so I will see what it looks like with the eco styler now.

so no flatiIroning for me. I ended up putting my hair in bantu knots and hoping for a halfway decent bantu knotout tomorrow. It's usually hit and miss for me, so we'll see.

Sept. 29, Thursday:

Herbal tea rinse, CW w. GF Length N Strength cond., followed Triple Nutrition cond., rinsed and left in Suave Almond & Shea Butter cond. Applied carrot oil creme to ends, heavily oiled my hair with Maka, Mahabringraj, and Brahmi oils. Sealed all of hair with serum and coconut oil pomade (grease) (my hair sucks up the oils). Oiled scalp. Into a bun she went to air dry, where she remains til this day. :o

Hi ladies! Well I spent my weekend partyin so that cut into my Sat. wash day so I ended steaming on dirty hair yesterday with salerem wheat germ and HV cocasta oil. I then co-washed with Garnier Fructis Sleek and shine new formula they finally got it at the BX and by the way I love it..I used it to co-wash and as a leave-in. Since I started my wash day late I ended up sittin under the dryer for about 30 mins to speed up drying time since I had to work today. I was very impressed with how soft, sleek, and silky the Garnier Fructis left my hair.

@Bajanmum Did you wash/rinse the Indigo out with Conditioner? That should have helped.

IDareT'sHair.

Yes Ma'am,

I used HH HE, almost the whole bottle. I waited till the water was rinsing clear then Dc'd with AO HSR. As I was smooshing it into my fat twists, I noticed my hands were gritty with indigo sand. But didn't think anything of it, as I was only going to dc for an hour. I was sure it would all rinse out then...Esp as I also did an acv rinse after that. But there was also 'sand' in acv water when I finished. :nono:
I know, right? I should have realised then that it hadn't all come out, but it was getting late and I had work the next day. I didn't feel any grit while twisting, but when I was taking my twists out 2 WEEKS later, my hair felt dry and trashy (despite m & s-ing nightly) and yes, you've guessed it indigo sand was falling from my hair into my lap.

On hindsight, I now know all the different times I should have stopped and rinsed again, but out of pure laziness...
