Self-Titled "Ministers"

Sometimes I wonder about this from a witnessing perspective. It seems that once a minister reaches a certain level of wealth, the world automatically gives him (or her) the side-eye. There's definitely a difference between being financially comfortable, well-off, and plumb rich. And if that wealth is gained from individual contributions, well, that doesn't seem quite right.

But a lot of ministers also make money off of book and tape royalties and whatnot, rather than grandma's tithe.

LOL. Yesterday, we met the Sister of the Poor, who take a holy vow of poverty in their service of G-d. The priest asked for us to support them. He asked her how much she possessed...and it was 4 habits, two summer and two winter...and her prayer books. I was like, "wow!" When I came home, I was looking at things in the house and going :nono:. I have no reason to complain. But 100 million smackeroos...I just can't wrap my mind around it. Does he support hospitals, clinics, education, anything else? http://www.ministrywatch.com/profile/Benny-Hinn-Ministries.aspx

I went to one of his crusades once because I was invited. I just wonder...so no offense to those who follow his ministries. I'm just extremely careful because I've been burned many times in christian circles.
