Micarae, your hair is very thick and beautiful!! I would like to see more pics of your hair. Just looking at you and Bubbln's hair inspire me to go natural!

Her hair is beautiful and long!!! It doesn't look like 4a to me though..., more like type to me.

This weekend, me and micarae (a member here) went to Six Flags in Georgia. We had a great time:yay: Anyway, besides the rides being our main attraction, my main attraction was this chile's hair!! Oh my god, she has a lot of hair. She's natural and has been natural for 4 years. Just look at all of her hair! She's a 4a and has almost waistlength hair (when straightened). She doesn't follow a strict regimen (hair or diet wise) and she still has all of this hair. Isn't it GAWGEOUS???

Awh man! That's my girl!!! She got bored with the hairboards thing and closed her album. I wanted to cry! LOL It's so nice to see a pic of how her hair is doing and to know it's STILL gorgeous!

Bublnbrnsuga- when you talk to her again, pls tell her I said hello! Thanks! :)

You both have beautiful hair. micarae, if you're reading, I love that cute, little style in the first pic!

Hey lovely ladies, How is everyone? Me and Bubblin had the BEST time at Six Flags and I hope to do it again! Hey Bubblin!!!!! Okay, since Bubblin is gonna make me come out of lurk mode, I will try to type as much as I can cause ya'll know a sista gotta go to work this morning. :) Oh before I forget, Hey Shalilac! I have been missing you lady, I need to know how you are doing?!...Hit me up with a pm.

Okay, just for you all, I am gonna open my albums up in a few hours because my album can answer your questions alot faster than I could. :) There are no new pics because I haven't taken any and Bubblin's pics pretty much tell my story.

A little history...As some of you know, I started transitioning in October 2001 and I bc'd in May 2002. All the pictures are over at fotki and the album is public.fotki.com/micarae. Like I said before, I will open them up in a few hours because I have to get ready for work and when I get there and open them, the password for access will be "nappy".

It may seem like my hair has grown fast to some but I really don't think so...I have not had any setbacks since my chop and no major cuts. I have done nothing but trims. So this length is actually the average in 4 years. I had completely forgotten the fact that this month made 4 years since the beginning of my hair journey until Bubblin brought it to my attention. I started counting at the big chop. That's why I would have said May 2006 would have been 4 years for me. :)

For my "regime" if that's what you want to call it. I trim, on average, every 3-4 months taking off 1/2 to 1" at a time or whatever is needed.:) I have been doing co washes for the past 6 months and I love them! I started co washing in 2001 and have been doing them on and off since then. It has really been working for me being that my hair length has contributed to alot of tangling within the past year. Shrinkage is still a BIG factor and I won't even lie to you all...I have considered texturizing but that is a WHOLE other story. I am sort of in Oshuncurls(sp?) frame of mind right now. :) If you do a search on her, you will know EXACTLY how I feel so there would be no need to repeat it. :)

I am not a pj, however, I have recently rec'd some great info regarding the Qhemet products from a close friend and this friend is VERY skeptical when it comes to products and she is in love with them. I wear my hair in the style(most of the time) that you all see in the top pic that Bubblin took. I love the style, it's low maintenance, takes 5 minutes to do (co wash, apply ORS moisturizing hair lotion, pull back in low ponytail, clip up with a small to medium size jaw clip and I am out!), and is cute! :) I have said it may times before and I will say it again, LESS IS MORE, LOW MAINTENANCE IS KEY, KEEP IT SIMPLE! :) lol! I am telling you, I cannot repeat that enough to my sistas. :)

Anywhoo, that's my hair in a nutshell, I will try to bring more info to you all but that will be hard, I am so busy these days that there is just no time, feel me? I thank you all for the wonderful comments, compliments, and the continued inspiration. This is an AWESOME board and you all are fabulous, with or without long hair. Let's keep it healthy and it will continue to thrive and grow! I am out, peace! :)

Micarae, you were one of my main inspirations for transitioning and BCing. I was so upset when you closed your album because I regarded it as my inspiration when I would start having bad hair days. You and your hair are beautiful.

Your friend has good taste. This is my favorite line too. Guess I missed seeing your album. :(
