Sebastians Colourshines and Clairol Textures and Tones

Im curious on what colors of Sebastian's colourshines would show up on a dark brown hair colour....and with the textures and tones....did you find it do dry out your hair?

Clairol Textures & Tones didn't dry my hair out at all. The only color I use in Sebastian Colourshines is neutral brown which shows as dark brown on my hair.

Any color will fade (including a permie) if you're swimming a lot. In fact, ALL chemicals (including your texturizer) have the potential to react with the chlorine in the water.

I would just take a lot of precaustions (wetting and conditioning your hair before a swim and using a swim cap).

No Sebastian color will "show up" in the same way as a permanent color - especially if your hair is very dark. You would be able to enhance your natural color (with Neutral Brown like, Allandra, or something darker), as well as go darker (with Brilliant Brown, or Coffee Bean). Some of the reds would also maybe give you some highlights in the right lighting - but it wouldn't be obvious unless your hair is naturally medium or light brown.

I used Textures and Tones for a long time and I never had trouble with excesive dryness. Like any chemical, your hair will feel slightly different after you color for a few days or weeks (it depends a lot on the condition of your hair before you color) but on me, my hair wasn't irreparably dry.

HTH.

I like Sebastian much better than Textures and Tones. On my hair (very dry and fine), the Textures and Tones lasts about 5 shampoos and then its gone. The Sebastian seems to take to my hair better and lasts longer. I love the red shades.

well see im putting it on my weave not my hair...but im going to mexico and i will be in the water ALOT...so I just didnt want the color to run....

Your permie color didn't last? How did it last for only 5 shampoos? I did mine in February, and it hasn't faded much at all (grown out some, but not faded much).

Correct. If it's for a weave, I would just go with Permie color. You can even use something that's known for lasting longer than T&T- like Clairol or Feria.

No sense in using temp color if you're going to swimming a lot and it's not your hair you have to worry about as far as damage.
