I am having a hard time finding this at a retail or below retail.. Is this hard to get right now?

Where are you getting your colorshines?

What product are very similar to colorshines?

I want to know too. I heard they had discontinued making Sebastian color shine. I can't even find it on ebay in coffee bean or mahogany. Hope somebody knows of a source.

I haven't tried Sebastian, but I recently tried Colorshowers in Mahogany and I loved it. This is the first time I've used a semi-perm color, so I was very nervous. It was very easy to apply, there was no mess, and almost 2 months later, the color is still going strong.

Sebastian has been discontinued. I replaced mine with Matrix Prizms Plus Semi. I think it's better than Sebastian.

I get mine from Ebay...I got a really good price but you have to be patient and wait for someone to have a lower priced auction. I've bought two this way for under $30.00

This is good to know for the future...I'm really stuck on henna right now though... I got me two back up bottles of the Sebastains just in case :yep:

Is clairol Jazzing anything like colorshines? I have bottle of blue-black under my bathroom sink that I have been meaning to try.

They are both semi. But the coloshines has extra conditioner in them and just seem to be healthier for the hair. The color even last longer. I used jazzing back in the day and there is no comparison.

Discontinued!

Thanks everyone for posting!

I am looking for just a clear color, I will just be using my normal hair color black. I am using to correct hair pororisty suggested by sistaslick..

Humm.. Colorshowers? I have heard of that before. I wonder if there are alot of people who are using that line. I might post another question if nobody post it on here.

Henna, I tried, but I cannot use alot. My hair doesnt really like it but I like to get the red highlights. Indigo...now that another issue. My hair loves indigo. I just dont feel like doing all that mixing. My time is of the essence. I have some really tough classes right now (working on Master's) I am really needing KISS right now. I havent done a Ayurveda paste in almost a month, and my hair loves that. Maybe I will do one this weekend....nope I got a paper, maybe I can sqeeze it in:rolleyes:

Aww, Darn! I'm sorry your hair doesn't like henna, because I was going to suggest that. I use it almost weekly with coconut milk and avocado. My hair loves it! Good luck on that degree, lady! Way to go! Your hair looks absolutely GREAT!!!!! Lovin' that siggy! Good luck finding what you're looking for. M

Well maybe I will try it with some coconut milk and avocado, maybe that will give it a kick. You cant beat the price of henna when it compares to some other products. Maybe I can mix it up and freeze some in little plastic bags so it wont take so long, then add the avocado and coconut milk when I am ready to put it in my hair....hummm you might be on to something girl. Gotta give that a try. Thanks.

and thanks for the comps on the hair, trying to get it to look like yours...A-m-a-z-i-n-g!:yep:

ITA - I found Jazzing to be drying and I wouldn't use it personally

I say you will love Colorshines...I've used it on and off for 20 + years and it does totally help with pororisty. It seals the cuticle, and gives the hair body, bounce, swing and shine.

Now that I'm natural I find that henna seems to do the same for me. My relaxed hair did not like henna very well, but I attribute part of that to my not knowing what I was doing and not knowing how to mix a nice moistuizing batch. I use rose water, molassas, a dash of olive oil, honey, and essential oils to get the most rich chocolate looking mix. BAQ Jamila rinses out the easiest out of all the hennas I've tried, and that's very important because if you don't get the henna out of your hair will cause it to be very dry.
