seal: serum or oil? Hair type 4b natural

Which do you find better to seal type 4b kinky hair serum or oil (jojoba, avocado, almond, etc)?

I'm a 4 (not sure if it's A or B)

I like oils better. Although my hair dosn't hate cones, most serums are too much and usually make my hair feel strange.

And actually,just straight oils aren't even that great for me. I like things that are thick, like pomades that are oil based. I've been using Oyin handmade Burnt Sugar pomade and I love it.
