I am a biblical novice myself, but I want to become more grounded in the Word. I have a busy schedule, and I get daily devotionals via e-mail. However, if things get nuts, I often can't sit down and read them as I would like. So, I looked for a free service that wouldn't cause my phone to crash that would send me a scripture or at least the notation for it to my cell phone. I have Sprint, and they stink.
Anywho, I found mFaith. The website is: http://mfaith.com/
You go to the website and it asks you to enter your phone number and basic info. It is ad supported and there are occasional ads but nothing too annoying or secular. If you don't like it, you can go back to the site to unsubscribe or you choose to opt out of this service by texting STOP to Shortcode 53203 or reply STOP to any of our messages.
I think it is a good idea, and good for people on the go. We all get some many text messages about everything else. I hope this does someone some good.
Peace and Blessings in 2009.
