"SCRAGGLY" hair

Please define it?

I think of it as thin or unhealthy unkept hair OR both.

But can thin healthy hair be considered scraggly?

Back in the day the cure was to cut the hair, how would you cure it?

i say/think scraggly. . . im thinkin unkept. like maybe the ends are really dry and uneven. not like the normal, i'm talking most pieces are apl and there are like 2 worn out pieces that are bsl. :lachen: or I look at the color of the hair, if it is like dry and dull (or even that greasy pink oil moisturizer look), i consider it scraggly. it's not about HOW MANY hairs u have (thin/thick/dense/etc) its about the condition of the ones u have. if your hair is really thick/dense coming out of your scalp and you get to the ends and its see through (see my fotki ) then it is scraggly.

Uneven jagged ends
See through ends
Looks like it would feel rough (Dry, unkempt)
Spits, lighter colored ends

I think thin hair can look scraggly quick if the ends are taen care of it

:lachen:I know, wish i coulda found more lol.

Yeah, i have thinish hair, that badboy will get scraggly quick.....I just have to be consistant with deepconditoing/moisturizing, protein treatments, and trims (or really keeping my ends healthy).

Hmmmm.... interesting. A lot of times the cure may be a cut/trim but not always. I know that if I air dry in a ponytail and then take my hair out it looks scraggly (roots are straightish, ends curly/frizzy -- not cute at all LOL) but it is fine when I straighten it out or roller-set.

Fluffylocs are those before and after pics of thermal/japanese straightening? Looks like they went from curly/frizzy to straight but I can't tell if there were cuts as well?

IDK, i just went to google and typed either scaggy, dry, or damaged hair, and those popped up.

Yeah, airdryed hair can look scraggly sometimes if your relaxed, i think the best way to tell is with straightened hair which i guess is the reason everyone does straighten their hair before trimming

My hair from the shoulders down looks thin and scraggly in comparison to the rest when it's wet and uncombed. When it's been airdried the difference is less noticeable. It makes me want to cut it off b/c they're left over from when a stylist relaxed me bone straight last June. But when I flat iron all the hair blends and looks the same thickness, so I think it's relative.

My left siggy pic!!!!!!!! Jacked up!:lachen:I didn't cut. I hid my hair and treated it a lot of TLC until it started filling in.
