I'm sorry this happened. I agree with Hopeful that you should calm down and talk to the owners about the particular stylist. Clearly something went terribly wrong in both her elementary school education (doesn't know the difference between 1 inch and 3 inches) and her cosmetology education (I doubt their philosophy is "fake it til you make is" especially when it comes to cuts/trims). The owner needs to know to keep an eye on her because if she can run away a long time costumer like you then she is bound to run away other costumers. No business owner wants an employee who is messing up the money.
BTW...I hope you didn't pay her! When I was younger and the stylist would burn me with the hot comb I made sure my mom didn't pay full price.
