We all know that it is important to clarify the hair and scalp, you'll be surpirised at what this site lists as being clogging.

According to this site, the highter the #, the more clogging it is. I use black castor oil weekly (which is VERY heavy) and wanted to find out if it plugged up the hair follicles. According to the list, it has a level of 1.
edited to add: Mineral oil, petroleum and cyclomethicone are listed as having no pore clogging properties, HOWEVER as they are not absorbed by the skin, they dont technically clog.... they just sit there and prevent anything from going in or out. Therefore they have a lubricating function, which is NOT good in terms of haircare.
Many of the oils we love are listed as being clogging. *I* interpret this as meaning that they actually have the ability to penetrate the skin/ scalp. Higher natural fat content makes it BETTER for our hair.
