Look up Kim's Enterprises and Kim's Dollar Plus in the Talking Yellow Pages. For some reason all the stores aren't listed in the Real Yellow Pages...
I like Kim's the best. They are convienient and cheap. I think there's a Kim's every three miles on Broad River Rd! The one in Bi-Lo/Whitewater Plaza on Broad River (3315 Broad River) has the best selection, but it is soooo junky, crowded and dusty in there! And almost every time I go they are having a shoplifter arrested. /images/graemlins/blush.gif You have to peel those red and silver security tags off of everything when you get home...
If you leave that one and make a right on to Broad River, there is another one on the right side of the street at 3922 Beltline. And another one on the next block on the left side in the plaza with Piggly Wiggly at 4119 Beltline. These two are cleaner and not as junky, but the selections are limited when compared to the other store.
There are other Kim's in W Cola (612 12th St) and downtown (6012 N Main), but I've never been to those.
There's a Sally's on Broad River and another on Harbison. I usually go there when I only need one thing and don't want to be tempted by all the goodies in Kim's. /images/graemlins/grin.gif
My cousin used to live on Ft Jackson and used to frequent the beauty supply stores on Two Notch Rd. She liked Iman's, Angel's, King's and Solid Gold best. But that's too far for me to drive...
I think King's is black owned...
