Saran Wrap Video...this sista's hair is da bomb

Everytime I watch her DVD I just shake my head in awe after she does the saran wrap and takes her hair down. One day I'll get there. Sooner rather than later I hope! :lachen:

Ah, Machieramour. Can I just say that she is actually the first person who inspired my hair care journey. I love this lady.

I tried a slacker version (no roller set, bad wrap) of this method on my air dried hair and I got surprisingly good results. I wasn't expecting much, because I have eight weeks of new growth and my moisturizer is just okay but it came out pretty well. I think I need to invest in the rollers and do it the proper way to get maximum benefits.

Geez Louise...

My DH was like "Her hair is REALLY pretty." I'm like "I knoooooow."

OMG her hair...

One day...doggone it...one day!

Yay! I am glad you found something that explains the saran treatment.

SelfStyled...your instructions were great. I just happened to google it before I got your message.....your hair came out wonderful from the saran wrap and I just had to see how it's done......:yep:

1. her hair is beautiful
2. her hair is beautiful
3. her hair is B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!
4. i don't get it. i don't see a difference. but her hair is still beautiful
5. she's making me want to relax my hair again b/c that is how it used to look only about 4 in shorter.

**Her hair is gorgeous and ur hair is toooooo. man i need to step it up a notch...get on ya'lls level (i really dont talk like that):lachen::lachen:

i love her hair too. she is the reason i went out to get on the keracare bandwagon(after i saw she used the creme hairdress). now its my staple:grin::grin::grin:

On her site, she recently said she plans to cut her hair by the time she's 30...I got dibs on 6-10 inches!! Ya'll can divvy up the rest :giggle:

That won't be a good look on me though, 5 inches of natural hair with 10 inches of relaxed ends. I'll just say I'm transitioning

Sheba, you are so sweet. I'm trying to get hair like you and Macherie, when I grow up. Thanks for posting that link, I had never seen it before:yep:.

She has beautiful hair.. Damn, I'm jealous.. Her and people like her prevent me from wearing my hair a certain way because after viewing this video, I for sure won't be wearing my hair out like hers until I think my hair can measure up...Nevertheless, damn good hair..

The point is that it REPLACES flat ironing.

how does it replace flat ironing when her hair was already "straight".

another question: i've never understood all that brazilian blow out stuff. why do u need to "blow out your roots" when, if you wet-set/roller-set correctly, your roots (new-growth and all) come out straight? if you roll under you get body in the roots, if u roll over then your roots are flat. at least that is how it was when my hair was relaxed like that. i'd roller set, hood dry brush out with a paddle brush like she did and go. i don't see a diff bet her roller take down and brush out with the after of the plastic wrap - wrap.

bottom line - SHE HAS BEAUTIFUL, GORGEOUS HAIR! plastic wrap or not.

When you rollerset, your hair might be a little big, the roots might be poofy, and the hair might not be sleek and straight. From what I understand, doing the saran wrap makes it sleek, straight, smooth and swingalicious.

I concur with what you say about it not making that big of a difference. I like big curly hair, so when I rollerset, I leave it at that. (And even if I wanted smooth hair it would just be too much work).

I agree. Watching this video inspired me to take better care of my hair. It also gives me hope that one day I can relax my hair and be able to maintain the health and length of my hair.
