I don't know if I should post this on the products or skincare board, move if necessary, but I accidently forgot to wash my hands after putting Salerm in my hair, and the lady at the car wash said, you have soft hands, my mind took a flashback, and I said, oh that was my Salerm 21, so I think I'm going to start using it as a lotion, he it's not gonna kill me.

Thanks! Now, I have a use for my almost full bottle. I'm going to put it on my feet.

I hope it doesn't take the polish off my toes.

I don't think it will take the polish off of your toes. As soon as I read this, I went to my closet and got out a bottle of Salerm and tried it on my hands

. It didn't take the polish off ... lol! And my hands are soft, but if I were to u se it as a lotion, I would add some olive Oil and Sheabutter.

I always try conditioner out on my hands. That's how I 'test' to see if it'll be moisturizing enough for my hair.

Another goody is Miss Key black cream conditioner. It makes my hands feel soooo good!

Thanks for the tip Ballet Bun! I have EVOO and Shea butter. I'll make a concoction this weekend.

Is it ok to put the shea butter in the microwave for a few seconds, to melt it down? I don't have a double boiler.

I just put water in our steel measuring cup ... it's huge, then I put this little itty-bitty pot for melting butter on top and put the sheabutter in that. I think it works just the same. I never use a microwave to melt oils. Sheabutter is suppoed to be at a certain temperature for 20 minutes so that it does not crystalize. I found the information on fromnaterurewithlove.com
