Well I have tried the new formula, Lok & Blok. I got my hair fairly straight after blow drying but it started puffing up within minutes on a humid day. My hair stayed decently straight for a couple of days until I flat ironed it. Flat ironing got my roots bone straight but the ends puffed out immediately. I wound up using curl wax which when rubbed on 3/4 of the length of my hair (skipped the roots) got my hair flat from root to tip. I was able to get my hair straight with two passes of a warm iron. The hair puffed a little (about 10%) while out but did not fully revert.
I sent an email to Victor Sabino who offered some tips on how to improve the results. However, I will say this, the first few times I got GREAT results (with the old formula) were at the salon. So while my results at home were so-so, my (old) stylist was able to results like the YT video. This makes me think, there still is a need for good technique in order to get optimal results.
Also for fans of the original formula, he stated that they are reformulating again for a thicker product (like the original) which will be available in about two months.
