Nah I would increase my sealing and maybe dry the ends on a roller, that always works for me.

I try to moisturize twice a day but lets say at night I plait up. When I take down for the braid out anything, and I mean anything I put on my hair will cause frizz. So I opt to moisturize at night only. My hair is goingbto frizz anyways but I'd rather it do it on its own then to frizz it up right off the bat. How are people moisturizing twice a day, and what styles ate you wearing?

excuse my typos i hate it as much as you.

I moisturize very lightly in the morning, after unraveling my 2 twists. l then reapply moisturizer and seal in a some what heavy amount right before bed, then retwist and apply my head scarf. I always wear Twist outs.

If they're just rough I vote keep them. Up your moisture game to twice a day. Now if they are a complete mess cut them.

When my ends feel rough they are either dry or I have splits and ssk's. If I don't have damaged ends I make sure I add more leave in condish to my ends. If the ends are damaged I give myself a trim.

If I baby my ends and they still feel like tumbleweeds, I clip them.

I cut off a good bit of my ends back in May, and oh so happy I did. Didn't want to let them go, but I am now taking down some cornrows and the ends are still smooth and soft in comparison to what they were before. Much easier to take down, as are my twists.

Its best to just cut off the rough ends and then baby then to make sure they don't get rough again. For me its been about 6 months and they haven't gotten that rough again, so I take that as a sign that roughness = splitting/breakage. When they start getting rough again I'll do a dusting/trimming again.

I didn't vote...

As a natural my ends are gonna look rough...But I had to look a little closer because most of it wasn't split or had SSK's....I was cutting "rough" looking, yet NON-SPLIT, and actually healthy ends....I now pull my hair towards my face in small parts & sections and look closely now cause cutting healthy hair ain't cool. I maintain trims every 8 weeks so even though they look rough...they are better than last year....And I retain more....

I've cut mine....

But now I'm seeing good old grease in damp hair works well on wash day. I use the nu gro petroleum jelly.. Hair is softer than feathers.

Please don't cut! I made the mistake of thinking the crown of my head had eternal damage and splits so I kept cutting and cutting every month. Immediately after it would feel the same so I just thought my hair must be really messed up in that one area. Well after a few over night moisture DC's and baggying I found that my crown just needs more moisture because it's coarse unlike the rest of my strands. That was a year ago and now that section only barely reaches to my shoulders while the rest is creeping up on APL. *sigh*

Oooo I hate my crown area!!!
