Rollersetting disaster

tiffers

Whisper "bleep boop" to yourself when you're sad.
Okay, so I did my first rollerset last night and was soooo excited. I don't have a hair dryer thingy (too cheap :)) So I slept in these hard a-- rollers, woke up, checked to see if it was dry. It was. I started taking my hair down and it was so bouncy and soft. But there were 3 stupid spots that didn't dry all the way, so I have this bouncy, soft and shiny hair with these big frizzy spots scattered around. What can I do? I was thinking of just doing a twistout, but I don't feel like waiting for my hair to dry again! Tips? Advice? HELP! TIA!

I have more success with rollersetting when I use my dome(hardhat) dryer. For the frizzy spots the only thing that can straighten that out is probably the curling iron..just make sure the heat is not high.

If that should ever happen again, re-roll the damp sections and blast them with a blow dryer (if you have one ;) ) for a few minutes. If all else fails, as suggested earlier, a curling iron should do the trick.

The same thing happens to me occasionally, esp since my natural hair has such a tight curl pattern. What I found that works the best for those frizzy areas is for the morning of to put on some sleek and shine serum and use a hot air brush to smooth it out as much as possible. The downside to this is you lose the curl, that night I would re-roll those areas and usually my hair comes out even better the following morning.
