Hello Ladies,

I'm impressed! I'm a wimp and just can't do it unless I am so tired that it just doesn't matter. My set usually lasts for 1 or 2 days. After that, it's caruso's in the morning. They only take a couple of minutes to put in. I leave them there while I get ready and then take them out. Ta dah! Healthy rollerset!

I spray lotta body, (you will have to figure out the dilution that works for you),use only my fingers to style my hair after roller sets, and sleeping with satin bonnets tends to help the curl keep longer. But even as the curl fall through the week, it is much easier to style my hair and I really dont have to fuss with it to much during the day if I roller set

I just re roll every night. I don't have any issues with sleeping with the rollers. I think i've gotten used to them.

But pincurling is also good. I just apply a small amount of my leave in then seal and do a pin curl. Makes the curl keep its hold for days.

That's what I do. I reroll every night. I don't know how to do a pincurl. I wish someone would show me.

Man I must be old school. I always rolled my hair nightly with the pink magnetic rollers every night after a set. I guess I'm use to it. I can even sleep with a head full of the large (grey) set rollers. I'd just set my hair, put on the dryer bonnet and fall asleep. Magically I would wake up in 1 1/2 to take off the bonnet...then back to sleep. When I was young I sometimes used paper bags to roll. I think I'm going to give the pin curls a try.

I do flat pin curls, but unless I have a relatively fresh relaxer, the curls don't look as good the next day. Barrel pin curls are too hard to sleep in.

I use a light setting lotion to make curls firm, not hard. The first day, I just finger comb the curls and let them be. At night, and every night until I re-set my hair in 7 days, I put my hair in a high, loose ponytail on top of my head and wrap a silk scarf around my head so only the ponytail sticks out on top (like a pineapple). I then put two or three rollers in that ponytail, and I sleep on a satin pillow case.

In the morning when I take the rollers out, I shake my head and the original curls and waves fall into place. I think that keeping the hair on top of your head and gently shaking your curls down keeps your hair full of body. I've done this technique for years, well, actually as long as it was long enough to make a high ponytail. It works like a charm every time and can even survive sweaty workouts!

one of my friends does the curls in a pony tail on top of your head (like a pineapple) technique also. I always wondered how her curls stayed so fresh for so long.
