Wanted to let the Elucence fans know that I relaxed with the XS version because the regular took to long to relax my curls (18 min). This version is way stronger. I left it on for 10 minutes w/o smoothing and it relax my new growth about 85-90%. If I had smooth with a comb or fingers it would've been bone straight. It works really fast. Some of you guys know that I am surging my hairline which I tried to avoid getting the relaxer on but some baby fine hair a little past the hair line did get relaxer on it and I just notice I got a mini bold spot

So, if your going to try the XS version. Move quickly because it relaxes quickly to a texturized in 5 minutes and bone straight in 10 with smoothing

Overall, I am pleased with it and will be using it again

hmmm....interesting. Have you ever used Revlon Realistic lye? I am wondering how they compare. I am currently using that in super to texturize and leave it on for 20+ minutes and it's still quite curly/wavy.

armyqt, I'm thinking that xstrength is basically a super because they have gentle, normal, and extra strength.

I just did a search and read other posts about the elucence extra strength. Others said that it was more like a regular strength relaxer. So, I guess I'll stay away from it. It probably won't do much for me and I didn't want to buy a relaxer that I couldn't get locally anyway.

Thanks Curlycrly! I was wondering. But I have used Elucence before and their relaxers seem to be very mild.

CurlyCurly, I haven't used Revlon but comparing regular Elucence with xtra strength, the XS version is much stronger at least on my hair.

Bumping...I really need this info. I know that some ladies said that it can be bought from pleasantimage.com but don't I need a professional license? Is there any way of me getting this relaxer without one? Thank you in advance.

if you live in florida you wont be able to get it without your hair dresser's license. but anywhere else they'll let you slide and purchase it at pleastantimage.com.

btw icephren i havent replied to your pm yet cause the site isnt letting me check my mail.

No license needed. I just got mine the other day and I sure don't have a license. The order went through and I am awaiting delivery. Don't be afraid, just order.
