Yep. Itll be here tomorrow.
Dangnabbit. LOL
Yall about to make me book a flight. I kid, I kid but it's so good to hear positive stories about salon experiences. So jelly I don't have that type of perfection nearby.
I will never let anyone do my hair but Reniece and Company. I had no edges when I started, Reniece weaved me back to healthy hair, check out my siggy pic. I live in NC and travel to her every 3 months. I have strayed and tried several supposedly "top stylists" in NC, only to be so disappointed that I cried. I am trying to get Reniece to open a salon in NC with some backing from me and other investors. Her pricing is worth every penny and the saying "that you get what you pay for" is sooo true.
The junior stylists are no longer juniors, they have been working for 4 years and their work is on point. I love the salon and have been weaved by Breon, Shannon and Shamira, they are all excellent. Reniece is not for everyone and I'm glad because I want to continue to get my appointments when I need them....LOL But personally for me this is an investment in my happiness and mental health. The one on one interaction in a private setting is well worth the money. I recently went to a supposedly "high end salon" in Charlotte, only to discover that 7 1/2 hours later I was in a nightmare...... I can fly from NC, land in DC, take a 50 minute metro ride to Rockville, get to the salon and 2 hours later I'm walking out catching a flight back home with the entire trip taking about 9-10 hours..... And I'm happy! (and that's PRICELESS!)
PS: the trip to Charlotte took 11-12 hours and I was not happy!
I must be the only fool that can't get my Willie Morrow comb to stay on my blow dryer. I've recently switched to the Red Kiss nozzle dryer and I really like it's already cracked. I've used it prob 10-15 times. I honestly think Reneice can charge whatever she wants because she obviously has the expertise and client examples to back it up.
Last night, I watched Reniece video showcasing her and Tamika Bell's (dontspeakdefeat) customers healthy hair. I'm like "yo...she's worth it". I wouldn't go bi-weekly but definitely bi-monthly.
Is it this video?
If so, this is beyond sick. I would go to Reniece in a heartbeat no matter the price! I am out here being charged $1200 base for weave installs and $500 for wash/DC/blowdry from celeb stylists. But Reniece is perfection and at an extremely good price. I wish I had a chance to get an appointment with her. Ugh!

Dontspeakdefeat trained under Reniece and does hair using the same practices. She is in Atlanta though.
I'm seriously thinking of signing up. I wish there was someone in Atlanta with work like this, who actually cares about hair health.

She is in Douglasville and she trained under Reneice. Judging by her portfolio, she is pretty good.
If I recall, she said she uses FHI flat irons and the KeraCare heat protectant.wowwwwww!!
anyone know what kind of flat iron she employs ? and what products?
that shine!! wth kind of magic is she doing???
Thank you!
Dang $135 for a length check. Her work looks great though. I only want to get my hair straightened once a year, so I think I can live with it. I'd have to think of it as a treat to myself.
I wonder if it comes with a shampoo and wash. Or do you come prepped for just the flat iron and trim.
Are you saying the comb cracked or your dryer? Sometimes the comb slides off mine, but I just put it back on and keep going. I delibrately don't tighten it to the max on my dryer because I want to be able to take it off at will and clean it fully, so the sliding is gonna happen.
I got one too. I clicked the Amazon link just now and it was only $15 on Prime. So I had to get itYep. Itll be here tomorrow.

@Subscribe, I have an appointment on Tuesday and will be sure to mention your name...lol
I'm not sure about the waiting list but will ask and post on Tuesday. I've been a client for 9 years and it was well worth the wait. Reniece and the other ladies are absolutely wonderful and when you get in you will see that all the hype is for real......
Reniece and her staff do beautiful work, but for $100, I can buy an actual flat iron and some heat protectant and do it myself. This would make more sense if her salon was in NYC.
Not even in NYC I got my hair blown out at the Dominicans with a trim for $40 last year and the salon I usually go to charges about $50 for a blow dry/flat iron on natural hair. I'm still not understanding how $100 is feasible for ANY salon to charge for such a basic service that does not cater to celebrities, especially for someone not located in a large city.
