Relaxer help!

I'm almost 14 weeks post and I can't handle it anymore. I know I was supposed to transition but it doesn't look like it's going to happen anytime soon. I can't even feel or touch my scalp :nono: .My question is when you switch to lye from no-lye do you get the super relaxer or normal? I've been using ORS no lye super and my hair is a combo of all the 4's

I'm still undecided on the ORS or MBB blends so if you have experience with them please chime in

I'm prolly not gonna be a whole lot of help, but when I went from no-lye (soft & beautiful) to lye (MBB), I used the milder version of the lye (the one for fine/color treated hair). HTH

I used No-Lye about 12 years ago and I used the same strength as my lye relaxer. :)

I'd get the same strength and remember to pre-treat your hair :D

I don't know much about switching. I do know I use no lye (Optimum MILD relaxer) I also know you should chelate the hair after relaxing because no-lye leave deposits on the hair-but that's just me...I also hate starting threads because alot of ladies look but don't even bother to at least BUMP the thread for more responses. SORRY!

I'm thinking about switching from no-lye to lye and I plan on using a regular in lye (I use regular in no-lye too).

Personally, I would be scared to use the super in lye just b/c of burning... I'd start off with the regular and if it doesn't process like you want then move up to lye super.

Hopefully more ladies will respond for ya!!!

Yup- what JJamiah said.

thank you! I plan to buy the relaxer, chelating/neutralizing shampoo for the ORS and Mizani

You use the same strength, or milder when going from no-lye to lye. You are looking for a quality product - MBB regular should be fine in regular. I would not use super.

If you are not experienced in self-relaxing I suggest a trip to the salon.
