Relaxed

I relaxed my hair last night, with Optimum regular, the one for hair breakage, it was too hard to go natural.... Hmmm, I missed the ease of relaxed hair. Had it that way since the I was 6 and now I am 24, pretty hard to change. Well at least I waited like a year.

Hmmm, anyways, guess I will pursue my goals with relaxed hair.... hmmm.... I didnt relax it all because i still had some on the ends, just retouched the transitioned hair....

I have it up in a wet bun, I wonder how it will be when I straighten it... I know it makes my wet buns easier and look better in the back....

congrats to you. I was thinking I may do the same thing too....i dunno. decisions decisions....

is that your current pic in your siggy? if so, nice....

Congrats on your long term stretch! Transitioning can be hard, so better that you just radcically reduced your chemicals for a year. Maybe you can just long term stretch like Sylver2 and transition if you want to in the future. You hair is gorgeous either way. HHG!

Transitioning is not easy so I commend all the people who have done it. The fact you done it for a year is an accomplishment in itself. My original goal was to stretch out my relaxer but ending up having do the big chop since I didn't detangle my hair properly.
I say do what makes you happy you could always go natural later in life.

ITA and your hair is beautiful, so either way, Congratulations on making it as far as you did and best of luck to you in your HHJ. :)

Just curious..was looking at ur FOTKI and your hair is gorgous..especially the pic with the curls at the party... were u predominantly a pressed natural? Was it too much heat too often? Just asking becuz it seems as if maybe its easier to just relax if you dont predominantly wear "natural" styles

Yeah true!! I can always go natural again, yeah the tangles and knots seem to be getting too hard to handle for me..

Yeah when I was transitioning I always wore my hair straight, and before when it was relaxed it was always straight. I like to use heat once a week, and it started to get time consuming to buy out the time to first press then flat iron. I think its because I wore a weave for a year and wasnt messing with the new growth. Now that I am trying not to do the weave thing, its been four months doing my own hair and that is prob what has gotten me frustrated!! Wow never thought of that, havent worn my hair down for this long. Yes and you are right, it is easier to relax, i see what you are saying. Thanks!

I feel less guilty now. I hadn't relaxed since November 2008. I was using a flat iron then BKT but this humidity is horrible so I gave in to the pressure. Your hair looks GREAT!!

I don't know why people feel they have something to prove to us (or themselves) by transitioning. Like I said before, it ain't for everybody.

Your hair's pretty and you completed a long stretch. Isn't that all that matters?

Hey thanks girl!! Lol, you did too? Yeah it was getting hard for me too. WOOWOOWOWOW! That is a long time without a relaxer, wow that is good!

Thanks! Ummm, well I transitioned because I thought that having my hair natural would be healthier and better for me, but it was too hard for me. I wasnt trying to prove anything...

I knew it! I'm not surprised. I'm glad that you're happy with your hair though! If I can't find a way to straighten my hair really well in December, I may be right behind you. Oh and BTW......

ABSOLUTELY NOT! I'm like 4zzzzzzzzzzzz with 10% 4a random curls. I had to dig to find that one that's a picture in my avatar! :lachen: I want to straighten twice a year.

So you didn't gain any length? That's why I wanna see pics!

Oh girl I put it up in a bun after I was done because I had no time to do anything! But I wanted to see that too. Dang my hair felt heavy after too, but not in a bad way... I think I should have straightened the ends more, I didnt know how far down to take the relaxer, hmm oh well at least the top is straight and it is softer though

I'm sure it's beautiful either way...cant wait to see the pics Thursday, we will be waiting:yep:
