Relaxed/Texlaxed ladies, how are you covering your gray?

I really want to color my hair this year to hide some grays, but I'm not sure how to go about it without causing a setback. I want to do permanent or as close to permanent as possible, but honestly, I'm scared.

I know there's at least one relaxed head (Traycee) that's using permanent color successfully, so I know there's more than one. Could you give me tips on how to color successfully? Also, could you give me a list of demi permanent hair colors? I honest don't know the different between demi and semi.

I buy black henna, just black henna, I don't do a "two step." I do it like a week after I touch up.

What kind? The reason I didn't want to do indigo was because I'm too lazy for all the steps involved. Can I find it at an Indian store?
