I need to know your secret styles. I mean, funkay hair styles that make you look fly! Styles that make folx do a double take, not because they are like but because they are like 'that's what I am talking 'bout right there!'

The style that makes people do double takes is when i wear my hair out with the bang bumped under. Since my hair is texlaxed with proudly displayed new growth, lots of people think that my hair is natural.

when i take the time to put leave-ins in my hair, or actually style it (not just wash and go). when my coils are more defined/less frizzy, people actually ask if it's my real hair or not. and i can come up with some cute styles when i'm not being lazy.

also when i straighten my hair, but i think that has more to do with seeing my hair in a totally different style or being able to see the actual length.

My well-defined braid-out turns heads all the time. I usually will separate each section a few more times so that it is extra full. Someone always asks if it is my real hair or how did I get "it" to do "that".

I've done a couple bantu knots and a braid out and received compliments on each. They're really easy but can be time consuming. I wanted a looser wave so I did my bantus on dry hair. I just wet the ends, applied moisturizer(NTM Silk Touch), sealed with oil and made the knots. In the am, took em down and seperated em slightly with my fingers and thats it. At night I redid the knots but didnt comb at all. I just used the sections as I had the night before and repeated the above. For the braid out, I didnt need to do anything. Just covered with a satin cap and that was it. My results are in my fotki.
