Reasons why men propose

I think the men who just settle down with anyone as soon as they want to have a family are players, or men with limited options (getting old) usually. A lot. Half of those guys in the OP sound suss.

This helps me understand the high rates of cheating husbands.
Men think of women and marriage differently than women do.
I think some men just think, okay she is what I want to be my wife because I like that she irons my shirts. :drunk:

What about the dudes in 4+ years long relationships who married the first girl they date after the break up only after 1 year?

I think it depends based on the situation and what type of woman they have.
Some guys are dating and waiting for the supermodel.
