In the last couple of days, I have spent a considerable amount of time reflecting on lessons learned on LHCF in the past year, and I very humbled. I would like to say a heart-felt thank you to everyone on this board that has aided me in my growth as a young woman trying to understand my hair.

I am awestruck by how willing people are to share product reviews, home made product recipes, regimens and the like. It would be really easy to be stingy with this information but not here, and I appreciate that. I now find myself eagerly sharing the information I glean here with my sister and friends because I want others to benefit as I have.

Thank you everyone you are real women of genius ;) (to borrow from Budlight!)

Now I've got that commercial in my head!

Your'e right Lusa, we've got some generous smart women on this board...without them, my hair would not be what it is today (in fact, I probably wouldn't have ANY).

ITA with the OP. This is a wonderful site, not only for hair care, but for life issues in general. I love this board. I feel like I can come here and talk about any and everything with my fellow LHCF members as if they were teachers, friends, and family. I love it here and I don't know what I would do without this site or these wonderful women.

My sentiments exactly..I too have learned so much from the ladies here and it really shows..
OT: I always wear my hair in a neat bun & my mom often says why don't you wear your hair down & one day she told me that my hair hasn't looked cute in a long time (I just smiled and walked away)...2 weeks ago I gave myself a relaxer and wore my hair out that ONE day and she looked at me and said "I want that hair"! ...proofs in the pudding

Lusa, I feel the same way that you do! Without the tips, techniques, and suggestions made by the wonderful people on this board, I would still have dry brittle hair that would constantly break off. Now I have soft, moisturized hair that is steadily growing - something that I thought would never happen. I always thought I was destined to only have shoulder-length hair because that was where it would always break off. I thought that the only way I would be able to have long hair would be to get a weave or wear a wig.

I am truly thankful to each and every person on this board who has shared her experiences and helpful tips!

THANK YOU!!!!

I totally agree, that's why I love this board. Not only are these women willing to share info on hair but on life in general.
