my snood is satiny....you think it would be okay to sleep in it...i also have a satin pillow case (cuz i know some hairs stick out of the snood)

I think that should be fine. Even if it doesn't stay on through the night, your pillow case is made of similar material.
 
child it is STILL on my head!!!! i couldnt believe it when i woke up this morning!!!
