Questions for Naturals.....Part 2

Q, you really just need to go nat and quit playin' :lachen:

HELLO!!! I am saying the same thing!!

Q you can analyze this to death, but the truth is you're going to get random answers because no two natural heads are alike. My hair behaves one way in the summer, another in the winter. Your hair may have a curl pattern, no curl pattern, grow up, grow down, love shea butter, hate shea butter, and everything in between.

I say go for it NOW and enjoy it! You don't have to do a BC if you don't want to. Yeah it might take 2-3 years but time passes quick anyway.

Natural--Shoulder or a liittle beyond (fresh Brazillian Keratin Treatment)
Stretched w/heat--BSL

BTW I transitioned from relaxed to natural WITHOUT a BC. It took me about 2 years. I did slooooow trims, so I was able to keep most of my length. HTH Do it :poke: you know we will help you through :yep:

Natural State: My hair is currently cut in layers so the longest coil stops towards the bottom of my neck...

Straightened: My hair is about 1 and a half inches below my shoulder...

BTW: I'm the one with the straight hair in the pic...the other girl in the pic is one of my besties...GORGEOUS HAIR:spinning:

My hair journey was very similar to yours, but my hair is no where near the length of yours...ah well, I'm getting there!

Natural: Between neck & shoulder length

Straigntened (Flatiron): APL'ish (haven't straightened since New Years Eve)

Natural state - about 1/2 inch above the shoulder
Stretched or straightened state - I have no idea. I don't straighten my hair and I rarely stretch it with my fingers to see how long my hair is.

I have a question:

How long after the BC were you able to fit all your hair into one ponytail (no bobby pins)?

How long is your hair in its natural state? Chin length

How long is you hair when you stretch or straighten it with heat? APL

Unstretched, it stands up  but looks like it'd be neck length:

Stretched/flatironed, close to APL:

I remember when I would make a "pig tail" with a million bobby pins. This was at 6 inches of hair. A ponytail without all those bobby pins - 13 months of new growth (7 inches of hair)

Thanks BostonMaria!!! The pics are very helpful. Looks like I have a while to go...I'm at 4-5 inches all around.

Bumping for more responses.

natural- Neck length
straightened- was APL (avatar), just had all the layers cut to one length so its SL.

Natural - guesstimating low shoulder (not quite armpit).

Blowdry - midback

Flatiron/stretched - waist, creep-crawling to hip.

Oh, that's a good idea Lynnie: the semistretch. I will add this mid level>
Blowdry = shoulder length +

Natural State: Between EL and Chin but big & fluffy.
Blow Out: a little past Shoulder
Flat Ironed: very close to APL

How long is your hair in its natural state?
Between SL and APL

How long is you hair when you stretch or straighten it with heat?
Braid out: Just past APL
Flat Ironed: MBL
